I am 26 year old hispanic womsn and I have extremely oily skin . I also prone to Breakouts . I chose to use this product based on knowladge I aquired in beauty school to be a skincare specialist(changed career paths). My skin tolerates glycolic acid very well . Ptr has improved my skin alot. I Barely get any break outs and no more hyperpigmentation My skin is more even and has a glow. Glycolic is good for oily skin because its molecule size is the smallest. Only thing is I use this everyday.

i have tried phylosiphy peel pads and this one and dr. dennis gross. i think the best i have used is the extra strength peel from dr. dennis gross but i bought this one today cuz dr gross's cost 90 bucks and this one 45 do what i do just try every brand in the store and read the labels but this does shrink my pores and take away my fine lines

I use these 3-4x a week and I usually follow with a moisturizer, it helps tremendously. I like that you can even cut them in half! And they help unclog pores :)

Hi Lisa. Interesting videos.I hope u can asnwer my question. I just bought this PTR peel pads and thanks to you I decided to try them out. After watching your video, I know everything I need to know, but tell me something do u apply and rub the peel pads on clean dry face? or just on wet face?

@spicemanuk yoiu should use it after yoiu wash your face so it doent have to fight through a layer of makeup to get to teh skin. That way it will penetrate right away- I put them on over a dry face

Would this be the right product to minimise the appearance of acne scarring? I have heard many good stuff about peter thomas roth, especially the sulfur masque as i clears out impurities such as acne bacteria.

@emiratesccwannabe no you would need a perscription product or medical grade to reduce those. PTR is great for clearing pores though

I haven't tried these but I've used the Peter Thomas Roth Gentle Correction wipes. They have 10 percent glycolic complex and also have .5 salicylic acid which helps control my acne. I'd recommend them for people with sensitive skin. The best thing about the wipes is that they stay moist in the container even if you only use them once a week or so.

I use the rougher side first then teh smooth one next! yes you wipe them over your face until yoiu have covered your whole face!

I have tried this ones and are great, but at sephora they gave me a sample of REN glycolactic skin renewal peel mask and is AMAZING, you will see your skin lighter, vibrant and without wrinkles right after you rinse it... and also the results last... try it you will LOVE it ....

Have you tried the MD skincare glycolic peel? That think is like 80 bucks, and the sephora girl raved about it.. I couldn't help but got one after she raved about it, mainly because I have lots of post-acne scars.. Well, it did not serve that purpose and I did not see much difference in my skin.. but I just don't understand why people on MUA also raved about it.. if you have a chance to try it let me know what you think.. thanks.

Would you say this is better than a microdermabrasion scrub? Like the Olay kit with the scrub & serum? I've never tried this product- it looks interesting-but if it gives the same result- I'll stick to the Olay kit. Thanks!

I started when I was 30 but I now wish I had started earlier! :o) I dont think it is ever to hard to start making sure you take care of your skin! :o) you wouldnt need this high % though!

Do you use this product every day for a week and then a week off? I have gotten glycolic peels at the salon are these the same thing? This would be much cheaper than a salon visit then. Thank you for the great review!

These are not as strong as a salon one! They use a much higher % of glycolic acid! I hope this helps you! :o)

I have not tried these, but I use Serious Skin Care's Glycolic Cleanser and Glycolic Peel Pads and they are awesome! I try to use the pads about 3 times per week.

A similar product that is more gentle that I have used is the philosophy microdelivery peel pads (lactic acid).

I have very sensitive skin, and I do get some stinging and redness with my pads, but the next day my skin looks much better.

thanks girl- it depends either the biroe- kirkland or I sometimes use the Almay eye makeup remover pads w aloe if I have a lot on! :o)

Lisa what about acne marks? :) does it lighten them? would you suggest this for dark skin cos sometimes products like that leaves dark skin blotchy?

I think you will need something a little stronger like actual peels to make a difference- this is just topical and only helps with teh top layer of skin! I am not sure how it would recat with darker skin tones- ask a MA first to be sure! Enjoy!
