During AT the Ohio Military Reserve (the state defense force for Ohio made up of 89% Prior service vets) worked with the Red Cross in setting up a displaced persons shelter after a simulated disaster. The red cross wanted the state defense force soldiers to search and disarm the simulated population coming into the shelter. To the last man every one of those OHMR troops refused. The Bn Co just asked the people coming into the shelter to safe and store all weapons in there bags. Oath Keepers!

@demerc You're reading something that isn't there. Erath is full of Cajuns, period. I was born in Abbeville, but live in Metairie (adjacent to New Orleans), and we didn't suffer the problems NO's did. The problems were many-fold, and prompted in part by many years of near misses by storms like Betsy, Camille, etc.
I applaud Sgt. May, and the others who recognized gun seizure as an illegal order I'm glad they had the courage to stand against it.

During AT the Ohio Military Reserve (the state defense force for Ohio made up of 89% Prior service vets) worked with the Red Cross in setting up a displaced persons shelter after a simulated disaster. The red cross wanted the state defense force soldiers to search and disarm the simulated population coming into the shelter. To the last man every one of those OHMR troops refused. The Bn Co just asked the people coming into the shelter to safe and store all weapons in there bags. Oath Keepers!

During Katrina, law abiding citizen's 2nd amendment rights were violated during the natural disaster & examples of that kind of violation by our government is appalling & shocking. Law enforcement has no right under our Constitution to disarm US citizens, if they don't pose a threat to the community. The ACLU should be screaming at this violation, if only they weren't such liberal gun hating bastards. Then again the ACLU only enforces the constitutional amendments they like.
