Great model but doesn't the propeller cancel out the necessity of the flapping wings? I notice it only starts to move when the prop starts to spin...can it fly with flapping alone once it is airborne?, cheers.
Lainial, De La Hault may have realized his ornithopter design would not have enough amplitude to get aloft and added a propeller.
I edited the video so viewers could tell that flapping wing movement was not enough to sustain flight. Still a very interesting model to fly, the project revealed the aircraft's lateral stability was compromised by crosswinds, more than a conventional aircraft would be.

飞行方式有点像甲虫,外层的翅膀在飞行中固定,用内层的软翅进行扑打
