  • I got a image only

  • @yz125Jeremy Yes, this is a still image only.

  • yz125Jeremy,

I uploaded the video again. This one is a bit longer. A link is provided in this video description above. It has the same video title>> Ornithopter De la Hault >>

  • OMG!!! its so cute!!!

  • i dont think those flapy thing have any value i bet if you take them off it would fly better???

  • Stunning! Well done.

  • 飞行方式有点像甲虫,外层的翅膀在飞行中固定,用内层的软翅进行扑打

  • ??? (^_^)

  • Looks beutifull in flight

  • And beautiful too :)

  • Great model but doesn't the propeller cancel out the necessity of the flapping wings? I notice it only starts to move when the prop starts to spin...can it fly with flapping alone once it is airborne?, cheers.

  • Lainial, De La Hault may have realized his ornithopter design would not have enough amplitude to get aloft and added a propeller.

I edited the video so viewers could tell that flapping wing movement was not enough to sustain flight. Still a very interesting model to fly, the project revealed the aircraft's lateral stability was compromised by crosswinds, more than a conventional aircraft would be.

  • Well done, certainly a true craftsman you are.

  • Very cool hybrid-orni. AirHogs should see this!

  • WOW! I WANT ONE!

  • Pretty Cool there EXCITER69. Like Father like Son.
