If AD Johnson stepped into the ring with Dawson, who is a great fighter and a hell of a hard hiitter, it would be a joke. AD Johnson for being the size that he is does have a little speed. Power punches are not there to back them up though. I'm not saying that Johnson is anyway a bad fighter, but no where in the same league as Dawson.

I can't blame Dawson for taking the 3 million but after this he needs to fight the real threat in Tavoris Cloud 20-0 (18). Hopkins has made it clear he doesn't want none of Dawson so the next best fight to be made is Dawson vs Cloud.

12 fights and only 3 KOs against this type of opposition doesn not suggest the AD Johnson can punch any harder than Willie Pep. If they are willing to pay that kind of money Chad Dawson would be a fool not to take this easy optional defense. They are gonna have to pay HBO more than 3 million to air it though I can tell you that. The guy isn't even in the top 100 in the world and wants a title shot. This is the most rediculous thing I've heard of in boxing in quite sometime.

Darnell Boone 16-13-2 (6) is a well traveled journeyman. He knocked Andre Ward down and has fought a lot of name fighters and has been stopped only once. However AD Johnson is definately talking a lot of smack and personally don't understand how his backers are really going to invest 3 million dollars in a fight with Chad Dawson. At 11-1 (3) with his best opponent faced being Boone who he lost to I see this as an amusing miscalculation by his backers. Talking about knocking people out with 3 KOs

fighters just before a fight go into a different mentality sometimes they can go into fight mode and act differently, and besides, people who pay to see johnson get knocked out pay the same as those who support him, so its good promotion for him even if you dont agree with his comments

You're right about that. Hector Camacho Sr. made the second half of his career out of that. I just expected a lot more class from him. He's gonna have to decide what he's gonna be. Cuz' if he's wearing business suits and talking politics and carrying himself like a professional & a role model, then he's gotta follow through with it.

Billy Bailey went the 10 round distance and had to pretty much train himself for that fight, w/ less than of 20 rounds sparring under his belt. But regardless, Johnson STILL didn't back up that shit in my account.
