Marijuana has many positive effects but there is a certain mental trade off. They came to a conclusion that weed makes you lose brain cells because they literally suffocated their test subjects (monkeys) by pumping massive amounts of marijuana smoke into them, ultimately suffocating them. Suffocation leads to loss of brain cells because your brain isn't receiving oxygen. Also, recent studies say that marijuana stimulates cells &kills cancer cells

Marijuana has many positive effects but there is a certain mental trade off. I'm not saying it makes you stupid, in fact it more or less got a friend of mine through college, but there's something very odd about the behavior of heavy users that goes beyond just being chill. They sort of seemd constantly spaced out for one thing. Use of it is a decision to make carefully.

alcohol makes people do terrible and voilent things, have never in my life and probably never will see, weed making someone voilent. unless there doing other drugs with it...

@mouthforwar93 last weekend i got drunk and threw a ladder at one of my friends during a jam session, it made me fucking insane. whenever i smoke pot i just chill and talk with my friends, listen to music and then take a nap. which sounds more safe?

@mouthforwar93 so so so true. alcohol CAN make you someone you'd never dream of bieng. my brother was a raging alcoholic for four years, kind of a turn off for me.

@jensbuhler yeh same here. but the main problems on the weekend for police are violent drunks, alcohol always causes most of that crime. Expensive drugs causes theft, muggings, stabbings, etc..that is why they should be decriminalised so that the price comes down, so people don't need to hurt others for drug money.
