  • @aydeeT No, Need for speed is Arcade, GT5 is semi-sim, Rfactor is simulation

  • does anybody know where i can get a cheap Logitech G27 with shifter

  • Is there a difference in rfactor and gt5 ??? Is it worth buying???

  • @MaryjaneKush gt5 is arcade rfactor is sim. rfactor is worth buying

  • the advantage of blipping the throttle on the downshift is completely eaten up by inaccurate braking, pointless unless your ayrton senna.

  • He is match reving

  • Do you do that kind of foot techniques in real life? im talking about using your left foot to stomp on brake pedals and not the brake boosting. coz that's really hard to do especially on m/t

  • Parabéns pelo ótimo vídeo.

  • nice but you are pumping the brake every time you heel toe.... (not being an ass) i hate it when i do that in real life

  • heel toe great driving bad dude :D

  • nice downshift

  • What happens when you don't push the clutch...does it still go into gear?

  • Why do you kick accelerator when shifting down? Does it help?

  • Good to see you wearing officially sanctioned racing socks! :)

  • He's just doing it for demonstration, and he's doing a really good job.

But yeah, most transmissions in racing cars these days don't require the use of a clutch for up and downshift, only for taking off and stopping.

  • Im sorry, I know you want to be comfortable, but the socks spoil the video for me.

@Danmcrea It helps you slow down smoother, overall giving better times.

  • It's obvious you are not running the grinding tranny gearbox mod in rf. Put it this way: drive like you did on the video without using the clutch. Notice it's exactly the same you shit without problems even when your timing is completely off. You think you are good but your actually nothing. The grinding tranny mod will NOT let you shift if your timing is wrong. I don't know why that mod isnt standard in rf.

  • @gold333 *shift without

  • These cars have sequential gear boxes with auto throttle cut, so using the clutch upshitfts is useless and slower

On downshits a blip of the throttle is enough to unload the gearbox and make the gears engange, using the clutch is useless there aswell

  • @ollie7400 there was a problem with the clutch, so i had to use it

  • Could you tell me what Heel and Toe Braking actuallly giving?

  • good vid but your controll settings look a bit off. something's not right. either your sensitivity or digital rate is to high. as your wheel dosn't match the wheel on screen

  • versuch beim runterschalten kupplung, gas und schalten zu synchronisieren ;)

  • congratulations, you're really good using the G27. i played with this wheel in a friend's house and i think it was so fucking hard!

  • @Hasseta e ai hasse

  • Comment removed

  • @Hasseta Moving your feet to heel and toe is childsplay in rf because your timing doesn't matter. EVen if you don't use the clutch it will shift no problem. That is not like a real car... All is solved using the grinding tranny mod

  • @gold333 i think it has a problem. when the car oversteers and i take my hands out of the wheel, the wheel spins to the inverse side of the turn. in a real car the wheel gets back to the middle, it doesnt turn to the opposite side

  • Look, No Hands!

  • why do people do this someone explain plz ?

  • @Jord4ntaylor See my comment to MCGangsta :)

  • wat does it do cant you just put fot on clutch and other on brake?

  • @MCgangsta11 This is done because when you down shift (especially coming into a corner), your engine's RPM's need to match the RPM's that of your tires. If not, your car will lose control from the tires potentially locking up and putting the car sideways (RWD). Think of being in 3rd gear in a street car around 2k rpm which in 2nd would be almost red line, then down shifting to 2nd, and letting out the clutch, the tires would lock up until the RPMs matched, causing you to lose control.

  • Sweet video, I was just wondering if you were to go offroad, does your G27 'clunk' or knock because of the Force feedback?

  • a power shift ( that's an element on the sequential gearbox, a little cut on injection each time we change gear) in that case you that have to use the clutch when you go up.

Well , try to keep you braking pressure constant.

    Sorry for my poor english.

  • Just one thing, by using Heel and Toe braking you want to make it real.

So just few things for you. Your movement is good, but you have to keep a constant braking pressure on the paddle, you release de brake pedal a little bit each time you change gear. ( i know it's difficult on a g27...)

And one more thing, if you want to play like a real simulation, so like in real, use Heel and toe on braking, but when you shift up , don't release the throttle, on porsche rsr there is a power shift

  • This is real tight. I also have a G27 and I train a lot heel/toe. For me the most difficult thing is to fullbreak while heel/toe. Do you have the same problem?

  • Nice socks.

  • These cars are SMG (Sequential Manual Gearbox) - there is no manual clutch. Drivers of these cars use 100% left foot breaking since that's the case. :)

  • @cbb80 A Sequential Manual Gearbox still uses a clutch for down shifting. Upshifting is usualy a powershift.

  • @conekiller13 Depends on the style of SMG. In Prototype and GT2/GT1 Class (Grand AM) , the clutch is ONLY used for 1st and reverse. You can blip the gas while tapping the paddle to match the revs allowing the car to down shift without the clutch. If you listen to us come into a corner halfway through, or just before the turn-in you'll hear the seamless blips without the clutch. If done improperly it wont shift, but it also won't grind. =)

  • if only it were this easy in real life...

  • Comment removed

  • why does noone use the paddles

  • @CrazyBoyDD because they dont take skill

  • All I can say is nice grey socks.......and nice style!

  • Super - hast Du Die Einstellungen der rFactor Physic gelassen, hdv-datei etc. autoblip-lift etc ?

Fahre ähnlich mit G25 und der Endurance-Mod ist erstklassig !!!

  • Nice socks :D

  • Quick question im wondering what game is this..Im thinking NFS Shift

And also i was wondering does the Clutch really work with the game or you just do it, cause to me it looks like the clutch doesnt work..

  • @jamaal555 this is the Endurace Series mod for rFactor ;-)

And the Clutch is working but not not 100 % correctly ... you don't need to clutch but I did ;-)

  • @marc230791 if ur Clutch don't work currectly, try other mod

  • @marc230791 this car is meant to be played with sequential gearbox without using clutch on upshiftings (as all SMG are)

  • @jamaal555 GET GT5 PS3

  • why do you gas and brake and klutsj at the same time is it to make it look cool ?

  • @volvovilhelmsen That's the heel and toe technique. You use the gas to get the engine revs up so when you shift down a gear the engine breaking doesn't mess you up.

  • @KidNock but when you enter the corner you dont gas ? so why can that help ? i race in real life i can that technique but the point is to hold the rpm up on the engine so you can have full power out the corner without spin out.

  • @volvovilhelmsen Yes the point is to prevent spin out. When you are breaking into a corner, the front and back wheels are rotating at the same speed but when you change down a gear engine breaking reduces the speed of either the front or rear wheels (depending whether car is FWD or RWD). When the wheels are rotating at different speeds it can cause spin out. So you need to accelerate whilst the clutch is pressed down to get the RPMs up to road speed.

  • @KidNock But spin out can also cause by some other factor, l don't know, but I always spin out when I exit the car even without accelerate (but still in a good rpm)......this game is crazy(but sure that's cause by stupidness)..

  • @KidNock Thanks man, it all makes good sense now.

  • Nice driving mate

Mal sehen was noch so rauskommt. *ROFLMAO*

  • @lotti747 ich bin verwirrt :D

    RS -> manuel

    RSR -> sequenzeill

    ich hoffe jetzt stimmts xD

  • Comment removed

  • beim hochschalten braucht man überhaupt keine kuplung. lol

  • If only it where a real car eh... ;-)

  • great driving man. Really enjoyed watching it

  • Der 996 hatte noch kein sequenzielles Getriebe...

Und Arne hat eh keine Ahnung xD

  • @marc230791

  • awesome driving

  • @Bleckmes09

    meintest wohl @ ArneCosta ;)

  • @V8Superfan

ups verklickt kann ja mal passieren
