I've always been a Josh Gracin fan and found this song recently. My big brother is a Marine and I couldn't be prouder of him. No one realizes how hard it is on the family of soldiers, but the kids are forgotten more than most.

First time i heard this is when my daddy went down to new orleans for the huricans we didnt hear from him for days . finally we did it was the ebst moment of my life!
my father is over seas and i miss him so much *crying* i just wish i could of said bye one more time but he was gone in less than a heart beat i miss him so much and i wish some one would feel my pain my cousins are 5&6 and i love them so much but they dont know what there uncle is doin GOD BLESS THE U.S.A AND THX TO ALL THE PEOPLE OVER
My 2 older brothers and my sister in law are overseas fighting this war. One of my brothers and my sister in law have 3 children that are staying with us while their parents are away. It's so hard to hear my 3 year old nephew cry b/c he misses his daddy, it's so hard to explain to children that young. Bless our troops!! ♥
This song is so true. We all should remember ALL the soldiers and their families that are left behind to keep the fires burning. My daughters dad is in the Air Force now, and my husband served in Gulf War. This song reminds me what they did for us. Please also remember our other vets as well. Freedom is not free! Also have another close friend who is going to training soon and then headed to Iraq. It hurts me so much but somehow I need to be strong. this is such a sad song. it made me cry when it says its the first time he hase seen a flag from up that close and he watched them as they folded it so carful and slow as thay gave it to his mother he new what he should do he raised his little hand and gave his dad one last salut i know i spelled that wrong.

My father served in Iraq from '03-'05. His job was to secure the Baghdad Int'l Airport. I definately feel like that "little soldier". We didn't understand what he fought for....I used to be my dad during Halloween. My dad is still living, but pray for those that aren't.
