Its tough to follow reason to a conclusion because you often find that logic and reason conflicts with your own morals or beliefs. Thats why most people wont follow reason. I believe in the freedom of individuals but to get to that point I had to accept that my beliefs and values are not always correct and shouldn't be forced on others. Its a big step and most cant accept that they aren't correct.

@AlexExodia Christianity is a very broad term these days but within it there are certainly establishments of religion. Catholic church is certainly an establishment. Even small non profit churches are establishments. Groups which lobby the government trying to get it to promote Christianity are establishments. Teaching Christian ideals in a public school system would be creating an establishment of Christianity.

As for their right to protest... They are a fairly small group and it costs them a lot of money to travel around and stage their gigs. For instance, you may not sacrifice a human because it's part of your religion.
On the other hand, if an Orthodox Jew wants to wear a yamaka (SP?) in a courtroom where hats are prohibited, his doing so is not harming anyone else. The prohibition would be harming his rights to freedom.
The law of the land supersedes religions law when harm is inflicted by the religious practice.

Its tough to follow reason to a conclusion because you often find that logic and reason conflicts with your own morals or beliefs. Thats why most people wont follow reason. I believe in the freedom of individuals but to get to that point I had to accept that my beliefs and values are not always correct and shouldn't be forced on others. Its a big step and most cant accept that they aren't correct.

Even small non profit churches are establishments. Groups which lobby the government trying to get it to promote Christianity are establishments. Teaching Christian ideals in a public school system would be creating an establishment of Christianity.

As for their right to protest... They are a fairly small group and it costs them a lot of money to travel around and stage their gigs. So they are quite easily squelched when larger groups of people show up and block them. I think this is one way to get rid of them. Eventually it won't pay for them to keep trying.

Though you have never been "Fucked with" by them, they do exist. So here i am surfing the web and i come across jesus and niggers by the church of dave. i opened this clip mainly so i could call you a racist prick on your comment board. Imagine my surprise to hear your message. very spot on man i have been saying this shit for years. one of my favorite ideas about god actually comes from muslim teachings god does not need human help to win his battles any such belief is contrary to god's unity and sovereignty. i was also one of them 8 year old kids.

Before I posted this video I discussed it with a few of my black friends cuz at the time I was very uncomfortable with using the title but we all agreed it was the best title to use because it would attract people from both sides of the argument by putting a giant magnifying glass right on the very center of the problem itself.
I think that in the end, it was the right title to use after all.

@xEmoSunshine14x Basically my position is that I am not an atheist or Satan worshiper or pagan or whatever. I have no idea what you would call what I am and I don't define it in public.
I figure it's good enough to say I try not to lie, cheat, steal or hurt others whenever possible. I try to treat others the way I want to be treated myself. Anyone who has a religion which says that's not good enough, can kiss my ass:)

@pimpmyrideG At this point I am just gonna point out that I created a video about racist language. Which I am guessing you have never seen. I pointed out the ridiculousness of adults saying "The N word" in order to discuss the word you find so offensive.
A word is a symbol. It has zero power. Symbols stand for meanings. You are attaching the wrong meaning to a symbol. The fact that some people use that symbol to transmit hate does not mean it's hateful when I use it to discuss hate speech.

@highersoulpovver Having grown up around racist Christians (and some reasonable ones as well) I just remember blacks being regarded as less than human. Referred to as animals or stupid. Until they were trying to pull something over on "whitey" and then all of a sudden they were "crafty."
The other oddity was whites referring to blacks as monkeys or gorillas while at the very same time completely denying evolution lol
I almost got smacked for sayin Christ wasn't white once lol.

There was no way to make this video without using the word it is about. If you are so concerned with a word instead of the intent of the person using it then you might as well just go eat your head against a wall since it's you insulting you, not me.

@pimpmyrideG My fathers family was Jewish. I remember discussing the word kike with him. My first stepmother was Japanese. I don't think she has a problem discussing the word Jap. My present stepmother is Chinese and she has no problem discussing the word Chink. I am obviously somewhat white and I have no problems discussing the words like cracker.
A slur implies an attempt to hurt someone. This is a discussion about the racist context of language and how word pain is up to the recipient.

Now in my word that is completely normal and reasonable because you are discussing racial slurs and giving examples. In your rule set though, you never should have used those words in a sentence. You just broke your own rule while defining it. lol

Also I said that to point out racist words, if I said the c or that people might not know it, it also censors my right to use those words in the correct context. You shouldn't have titled your video jesus and niggers; what I did was point out racial slurs used, it should have been Jesus and nigga's because nigga is the less slanderous way to say it.

As you are pointing out, context is everything. This is a video about racist language. So I used racist language in the title in order to attract racists and non racists both.

There is no law against being stupid. As long as they don't do harm to others let them think what they like. It just makes them seem like fools and pisses off people who are looking to be pissed off already.
I think people who understand the folly of such things pretty much just dismiss it as rubbish.
