  • I prefer this version.

  • I always liked a lot more the version by Sheena, I like Bette but I dont really like her voice. I really believe the reason Bette's version is a lot better known and listened to is because of the movie "Beaches" which was a hit, a really good movie by the way and portraits exactly what this song is about.

Bette hit the spotlight with it and the song. I think she deserved it, she's a good actress, hilarious comedian and hardworking woman overall, but IMO her singing is not her best talent.

  • I have ALWAYS LOVED Sheena's version of "Wind beneath My Wings" from the very beginning--in 1980 something. I'm sorry, but Sheena completely blows Bette out of the water!!!! That's just the way it is!!

  • You people... continually saying whose better, or whose version is better. If you truly care about music, you care not who is better. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the versions by Gary Morris, Bette Midler, and this one. They're all special in their individuality.

I like the way billyboylb said it. It's more accurate to say that you like, or prefer, one version over another.

Things don't always have to be about who's better, faster, or more blah blah blah, etc

  • @TonyUSATony

This is not a contest. Which is best is subjective.

  • Eu prefiro essa versão com Sheena Easton mas a versão com Bette Midler também é excelente !

  • Better version, better voice and better look than many other 80's singers (also than 90's singers, 00's singers)

  • I have always preferred Sheena's version to Bettes. Bettes is just too over the top.
