Just have to mention this; Why does the upstroke not cancel out the downstroke? Thats because, if you look closely you can see, when the bird flaps up againg, it retracts it's wings so there is less drag created that lift. Therefore it flies.

It needs a rising current of air on the side of a cliff or hill. Also humans have created wing shapes that are many times more efficient than a bird. Someone who studies science rather than religion knows this. On the other had an airplane cannot reproduce itself, so there is mystery in life indeed!

Just have to mention this; Why does the upstroke not cancel out the downstroke? Thats because, if you look closely you can see, when the bird flaps up againg, it retracts it's wings so there is less drag created that lift. Therefore it flies.
And what's with all these religious comments?

The narrator does not quite understand the mechanics of flight. A bird cannot stay aloft without flapping just due to the shape of its wing. It needs a rising current of air on the side of a cliff or hill. Also humans have created wing shapes that are many times more efficient than a bird. Someone who studies science rather than religion knows this. On the other had an airplane cannot reproduce itself, so there is mystery in life indeed!

To believe in miracles, you have to believe in God, and people who believe evolution made everything are also the most mundane people on the planet, because they don't believe in anything other than what they can find with their senses, nor do they believe there's any power greater than man, which is pretty sad.

bees fly in a similar way as birds. It is like swimming through the air. The big difference though is that they do it much faster. A lot of people think that birds just lift their wings up and then down. This would do nothing but make them bounce up and down on the ground. Haha.

one of the lectures i had in class was about wing design.
It was about the tip of the wing.. conventional wings in aircraft are simply rounded, but the most optimal would be to imitate a bird's feathers, which is too hard, so we use f.Ex a sweeped up wingtip (like A380)
LoL but that's not even beginning to come close to the optimal design shown in birds
