@liza2000us2001 I took a 2 hr tour through the L.A. Coroner a few years ago and watched a few autopsies and saw 219 bodies in the crypts. The smell is what really hits you. The bodies look like was figures. You know it's a real body, but it looks fake. It was an interesting tour.

I imagine these bodies are being used for dissection in anatomy classes. No matter if they donated their bodies or were indigent they should be respected for their gift to future doctors. And if you wonder why medical costs are so high in the USA it is because medical schools here in America mostly cater to legacy students (doctors' kids). In college(1976) I saw mexicans and blacks accepted to medical school in their Jr. year. They laughed at us whites. I felt sorry for their future patients.

Well, if it's formalin in the tanks, that's got to be brutal (breathing wise), I''ve had similar results with gluteraldehyde. Never had ANY fume problems with Methanol and the bodies hold just fine.

there was a case, can't remember what year, maybe 1988 or 1992-93, Leningrad, team of doctors were kidnapping people (adults, kids) and they were taking a good organs to sell to people from another countries, and then they feeding a nutrias with what left from those poor people..Police found them, it was a big crime back then..Even somebody wrote a book about it. Right after this happened another team of doctors did the same crap, but they were burning bodies in the morgue. Police found them.

My husband died in 1997, I went to pick him up from morgue and I almost did in my pants, I was scared to death to walk morgue hallways. Bodies everywhere just laying and some of them even are not covering.

That's the first time I have seen bodies stored like that. Its a very secure method. The students in this video later seem like they have a hell of a time moving the deceased around though. Those old carts are very out dated and can result in back injuries. Get a standard one-man mortuary cot. They are at a college and the college can afford some cots. At my place we use cranes if someone is heavy and we move them everywhere on cranes from garage to prep. We get many over 400 LBS and up!
