@UNdesiredReality I appreciate the intelligence of your post. It's sad that most Americans can't find Azerbaijan on a map and simply group it together with all Muslim countries. I had the chance to meet some of the Azer karateka at the US Open this past April and they were very charming and polite. I know they practice their techniques all the time and have perfected them to where they are as shown in this video. Thanks for the post.

What are you talking about? There are many capable Karate fighters out there! Have you seen Biamonti? Pinna? Aghayev? Rouhani? And that's naming only a few...

yes, i know them, Pinna practiced taekwondo for many years, thats why he is a great kicker, the others didnt practice another kind of martial art but they are very good karate fighters too, especially this guy he is even better than Biamonti, Aghayev, and many others. he is fast, strong, very good at kicking( but not as good as Pinna), etc.

I wouldn't say better than Biamonti, as no one has bested his record yet! (not even Aghayev, who actually beat him once or twice). And all these new fighters, as good as they are, still have a great debt to him in any case, as he was the first modern fighter to really integrate sweeps & takedowns into Kumite in such a prominent way.

Biamonti..EKF champ 10 times..but only manage to win WKF once.??? why.? nervousness(if u know WKF..its a european dominace sports..So why Biamonti cant win it?) Aghayev is new..Azerbaijan only can fight in EKF after 2004,But Aghayev defeat biamonti once..that year..and won the WKF twice...lol... Biamonti in world level is Broken..Shattered...

I know Biamonti has been surpassed and even beaten by Aghayev, I even said it myself. I wasn't denying that and I know these new fighters have incredible potential. What I was saying is that they owe a lot to Biamonti with respect to their fighting style, which is extremely aggressive, fast and with a lot of sweeps and takedowns, which was mostly coined by him. As i said originally, before Biamonti you'd hardly see anyone sweeping as much, and still some of his sweeps haven't been repeated yet.

Before Biamonti, it was rare to see a fighter sweeping so often, even less performing take downs; after him, everyone is doing them. And even so, there are some takedowns Biamonti did that I still haven't seen anyone else doing!

basically agayev and rashads style are the same they train together i think they are both -65kg but agahyev moved up to -70 but both amazing fighters

Rashad Huseynov, incredible! I think even better than Aghayev! Amazing at 4:57, ao's move to take him down was perfect, but Huseynov managed to counteract like that, lifting him up in the air and finally taking the score. I'd *never* seen anything like that (and I've watched one too many Biamonti videos)!

Would love to see more clips of him (only two on youtube at present), maybe using his legs some more in real fights (not in demonstrations), as most of this clip is about sweeps and takedowns.
