@niggaface2 All of it. But the most important advantage of the scallops is being able to "grab" the strings. I never loose a string in the middle of a bend and hammer ons and pull offs are more effective. But you could get 90% of this effect if you scalloped the high e side.
@guitarsender Sound is subjective thing, friend and I use mainly humbucker DiMarzio clones... Thing is, he can have single there without name on it. But the tone is great and what matters mostly, he is great guitarist.
I appreciate your words, your thoughts, and the insight you provide, Klaus. Well done and much appreciated, sir. Best wishes to you and yours, P.M. O'Limerick
using pull-off is not "true legato" pulling off changes how the note sounds and thats not legato.. true legato every note has to be the same tamber and volume. so you can't pull-off you have to hammer every note.. check out allan holdsworth's legato..
Oh, Goodness, you really can make a man convince himself to change his philosophy and practice! Thank you man, maybe you will be able to encourage such a lazy-dog like me to practice! ))
OMG are you kidding me with all the talking? 11:00 minutes before there was any playing done at all. (except the initial intro) wow what a complete waste.
@Justasssu Oh I listened to it, smartass. I am sure it is something you need, a motivational speaker to light a fire under your behind as you are obviously a fan of this type of "change your way of doing things because you're broken..." but some of us are not in need of a coach so much as a teacher. But thanks for your insightful input. Maybe you should be a motivational speaker; Chris Farley is dead after all, there is an opening.
@mcolquitt No, the idea is that he is giving you the information, so that you can then take to whatever you are practising, you should just look at these things with open mind, otherwise you are just going to end up nowhere.
@Justasssu Understood. Only thing is I have a very disciplined practice routine and have achieved most everything I have set out to do musically. I am still growing however also very confident that if I am watching a tutorial that is about a technique or a method I will work it to the best of my ability without all the Self help Tony Robbins diatribe. To each his own though.
@Fender308 Thanks! The better you are at it, the less "help" you need from distortion and compression. That's why practicing with a close to clean sound really helps :) And to answer your question: No you don't need that, but the more of it you have the less you need to pick using this technique.
Stunning Craftsmanship!!! You know fellas, this is the "Teacher" if you want to learn "SHRED" guitar...Claus has to be from Neo-Classical Melodiousfusionshredspectaculous galaxy!!! Otherworldly playing, the tone is killer... This Cat is sick with licks...He cut a little excerpt from his Legato series...This is first class teaching, all you shredder wanna bees look no further...Claus, when are those recordings of you and a progressive neo-classical band coming out?? First Class all the way!!!
You are the best. I think that you really give the keys, i experienced it with 1 dvd i bought from your site. Thanks!! And yes, you are a buddhist man!

Hi Klaus! awesome video. But to master legato do we need a compressor and a overdriven kranked amp to increase input sensivity?
