one of my all time favorite books. read it for the first time when i was 9. and i'm now reading it for the 5th time at the age of 17. inkspell is my favorite of the three though. Funke is a truly fantastic childrens writer.

umm since when was there unicorns and flying monkeys and meggie reads tinkerbell and the tin man out of a book not to-to or whatever its called....and they dont get pulled into a story they are trapped in capricorns village and escape but then they capture meggie and dustfinger and the writer of inkheart. anyone notice farid isnt in this am i mistaken or is this a completely different story? -.-

Movies they've ruined- InkHeart, Twilight, Percy Jackson, so much more others... The purpose of making a movie version of the book is to create a living world of the characters, like Meggie and Mo can do. ;) Nyaaan~ And why is capricon happy? He's emotionless...

I don't like the movie. They should make a better version of it, with the rating at least 14a, and change ALL of the characters, make the plotline mose so to Inkheart, and also make it so they can make the second book into a movie too! THAT would be Uber. this movie is, ok.

this book is really good but they got everything wrong in the movie so it just sucks.i imagined they live in a tiny regular house with a road leading to a gate in the book.

I agree with you... the problem with some movies that are based on books is that they can totally ruin the story by changing some stuff.

Look at Eragon for example.

Ugh... Eragon. I've read the books and I liked them a lot.

But completely putting aside what I think of the books, I'm pretty sure Eragon was THE WORST movie I have ever seen. An hour and 46 minutes of my life that I will never get back.

that is so mixed up there are no unicorns or minkeys or storms and meggie never reads toto out of a book!!! Mo finds the book inkheart when he buys a box of second hand books and he keeps the book safe after he reads meggies mother into it, he doesnt go looking in a shop for it!!!

these thing should say "loosely based on the book", cos they often get it wrong, look at Eragon the movie for example, hope this one isn't like that, cos its a good book...

I agree with you, I read Eragon, and it is a great book, I saw the movie and it was terrible. Now I'm reading Inkheart, and I hope they don't ruin the movie. It looks like a good movie though even it doesn't seem 100% accurate.

yeah they did change the thing with the storm, probably to make it moer exceiting, but with the tinkerbell thing, they couldn't use anything from disney hence they cna't use tinkerbell so they used toto!

yeh i guess your right but still the storm would make it exciting if you havnt read the book but i have read it 2ice and i love the 3rd but i wish it would be like closa to the story like with the movie eragon it finished when it was half way through the book and it had nuthin to do with the book and there are no unicorns and flying monkeys darius doesnt read that out you know that

yeah, i started readint the third now, yeah you're right there is like a unicorn on the cover of inkdeath, but they never talk about it.. or flying monkeys, and the storm is more exciting then just driving away, i hope they do keep stuff form the book too, anbd that they did a good job witheverything, but it does look really good
