Connie Hayes, Nat King Cole, Miles Davis, as well as many others also did this song but none were more known for it than Etta James. Therefore, she should have still honored Etta and asked to be graced to sing a legends song.

I have never been big over Beyonce but Cadillac Records was the movie at the time and it was only befitting that she sing At Last. It would've been great to have Etta duet the song with Beyonce during that live performance, but it's a bit late now, isn't it? @MzNisi87 No. It was written in 1941, firstly performed by Glen Miller and some others for a very old musical film. That means the song isn't hers so there's no point in this fuss she's making out of something that is not hers.

the 1941 version that you are talkin about was recorded but not released until 1942. Connie Hayes, Nat King Cole, Miles Davis, as well as many others also did this song but none were more known for it than Etta James. Ask anyone who knows this song and she is the first to be named as the singer of the song in almost all cases. AND Beyonce did Etta's version not Glen's. Therefore, she should have still honored Etta and asked to be graced to sing a legends song.

You do have to remember that Etta and all of the artists at Chess Records pretty much got screwed financially - at least it would appear that way, compared to how it is now.
.It's got to be hard for her to appreciate that Beyonce brought her music to a whole new audience, when Beyonce' is getting BIG bucks for it, and Etta? Not so much.
