pertaining to the bass charting issue, does anyone find it retarded that with the mayhem pack, for example, they chart the chorus of what a horrible night and the pre chorus in hammer smashed face fully, and i would say that they are double bass hits. unless you have a really really fucking fast endurable foot. i don't understand why megadeth songs do this kind of gallop pattern for double bass

maybe it had something to do with the extremity and biased of the more technical drumming apparent in death metal? like, think about it, embedded has those fast streams, this is exile, hammer smashed face, conquer all is a stream, so that's fair, and wahnthac...but who knows. oh yeah, nice fc dude, very impressive

This chart barely shows the double bass in the song. It is quite funny hearing the drum, but not seeing it.

The major song you can hear a difference in is Five Magics when comparing the vocals between the originals and remasters. The weird part imo is that the instruments sound clean like the remasters but yet they are the originals.

That's because Dave couldn't find the original vocal tracks for Five Magics, Take No Prisoners, Lucretia and Rust in Peace, so they used alternate takes. On Take no Prisoners, he re-recorded the vocals.

If Rock Band is going to make songs that have double bass in them, they'd better start putting in a "Turn on double bass" feature pretty soon. It's pretty damn annoying to hear the double bass and see the drum bars scroll down oh-so-slowly.

cheers for reply, i never said well done as well, was a good fc but i think RB messed up the double bass in the chorus, i know they dont chart full double bass but they could have put a rhythm in there

Well, the double bass sorta gallops. Since it has to do with the second foot, they can't chart it and it ends up looking like a regular polyrhythm.

If they changed it it would look like they ignored some foot pedal

@fatdaddychong late response, but this is the ORIGINAL recording. The one you see everywhere is the 2004 remastered version.

This is the original album vocals. If you have the remastered version, that version has rerecorded vocals due to the fact that, during the remaster, they thought the original vocal track was lost for all time.

Good thing it wasn't; this version is so much better.
