The bank will provide US$ 65 million to build the first thousand residential units, and infrastructure for the development. The first phase is due for completion in two years and the latter phases will include a university, a hospital and schools.

ok I have a question, who is funding this project for building this city? Is it the Cambodian government or is it from and outside source like another nation? Because when I went out to Cambodia for the first time, I notice a lot of other Nation basically own little bits and part of Cambodia, so what I mean is if like let's say hypothetically, Japan is building this city so the money and profit will not go to teh Cambodian government or the people it will go to Japan or who ever own this place.

sort the roads out. when i was in sihanoukville it has the worst roads but ko kong was a lot worse. why do they have 10% VAT and not have enough government will to sort the roads out. any way a very nice a very nice country with the best sights

yes, a lot of oil hav been found in kopong som, so that the big hid of our economic and tourism r growing so fast. that y today a lot big projects, is not in phnom penh is in kompong som even our govt built a new airport in there 2( the biggest airport in cambodia still under construction).also koh kong a lot of big project n oil too. the news said koh kong clould b the second of hong kong.

I heard that that so far ..there's still no contruction sign to begin this work at all... something goes wrong ? ... and my opinoun, I think this city play is the worst city plan ..by the look of road network , it's gonna cause traffic jams..this project doesn't align with the phnom penh city plan. CBD should be in the central.. from what I see tall building is being build everywhere ... it's going to be like bangkok.. ugly and polute.

most things that sounds to good to be true, usually isn't but i do not know enough about this to make an accurate opinion about it. i suggest that the khmer people living there should ask plenty of questions before giving up their money to what sounds like ( to me ) shady foreign investors. We must not forget what has happened to our land before when we let foreigners on our land.

A couple weeks ago in Phnom Penh, the a 4000m road is being constructed, the government pays half and they want the folks living on the side of the road to pay half. This is only a 4000m road. How can we afford a this new city? Do you know how much steel will be needed for the buildings? It takes us 2-3 yrs to finish a 3 story building. How long will it take us finish a 20 story building?

It is possible for Dubai, but not Cambodia. We do not have money and steel to build such city. Be real. Have you read what's hidden behind this project? I don't want to ruin it. The people are making $50 a month, how can one affords a $100-$200K? Only for the corrupted officials and can worsen corruption due to demand to get more money to buy these housing. Do you think Korea really spending $2B of their money?

u know y Dubai rich? bec they have a lot of oil produce everyday, that y their have money to built large building. in 2008 cambodia will have oil produce it too by korean company so cambodia will gonna rich soon if we rich, so it have a lot of company come to our country and will have a lot of rich ppl in cambodia not the ppl live outside cambodia. that y korean ppl built Camko city.

yes! it is TRUE. i was there in june and i checked out the development and saw the condo/pent house models. i believe its japanese or korean investers with the idea behind this projects from what i remember when i visited the site.
