I have the sony TX10 and i do admit the 4S camera is great for a cell phone camera. But you get more controls and opitions using a digital camera and better sound/quality on a digital.
I am looking to buy a camera, which would you think is overall a better camera the Sony DSC-HX9V or the Sony DSC-WX10? please respond I need expert advice, want to spend my money wisely :)
When recording in 1080i AVCHD mode it goes into a private folder and is Recognozied as an Unkown File i think this is becuase i dont even have Service Pack 2 for XP.But i havent installed the dic that it comes with...does anyone know any Video ediotrs that will aceept/convert that AVCHD File Format???hit me back
Edit the videofiles, i assume? I not recall that the package hold any editing software, so you should find a free application or use a program like Adobe Premiere Elements maybe?
@mydigitalphotos i have been looking for the purple version of the sony cyber shot wx10. do you happen to own a purple wx10, or know where to get one? there are images of the purple wx10, but i can't find it on amazon or ebay :-( i would be very grateful if you replied.
Sound quality..how hard can it be to fit in a bit more decent mic with stereo sound that can actually record concerts and not have that windy noise all the time. Panasonic did it 3 years ago..everybody copies everything but not this it seems... disappointed. TZ7 still owns this thing and that was from 2007-8

I'd also be very interested in a compact camera capable of recording long clips (most of those have an arbitrary limit of 29min, and it's really hard to find reliable information about this).
@idiosyncrazy1980 I went for the TZ 10 on sale, the canon does not record lousd sounds well check some youtube footage. The Sony I don't know. I got a sample of last week but not sure how to post that here.

Not sure if I should buy a WX10 or a HX9. Only need it for Holiday as a small pocketcam. It seems that the WX10 has better Lowlight (2,4) as the HX9 (3,3) but HX9 can take videos in progressive. But must converted into interlaced to burn onto a bluray so its equal? The HX9 is not avalible in germany yet. Very interesed if both cams have the activemode stabilisation for taken videos during walking. Any chance to get an original AVCHD-File from your cam?

Yes, the autofocus is working in video-mode aswell.
