  • omgosh, i played this song in band in middle school! LOLL what place did they come in?

  • we don't have the fund to afford new uniforms, (our uniforms used to be dark blue) 30 year old uniforms

  • Good show! You guys need new uniforms, though. Too dull, you blend in.

Get bold, show them how good you are!

  • isnt a movie themed show sort of unoriginal though? wouldnt you want to do a show thats more challenging and original?

  • What would you brand "original"? Haven't you noticed that every show that is "original" and named something called "Water" or "Air" or "The Thundering Heart" is taken 3/4's of the time by any high school band? No, this is original in a personal way. "More challenging"? I think you underestimate the difficulty of this drill, as well as the speed and size of the steps, especially in the closer. The typical step in this show is a 6 to 5, as opposed to the original 8 to 5.

  • @chiulovee I kinda agree with you on that one. Especially since we've done Zorro before. Even so such questions are out of our hands. We have no input on what music we do or what sort of drill is being charted for it. All those decisions are left up to our director.

  • Lmao the band shrank! oh well. it will grow again

  • Actually we're bigger this year than last year by 25 people. A lot of people just not showing up.

  • Yeah, mostly people getting sick.

  • riiiiight lol jk. you guys sounded nice haha i remember one of my sisters doing this show :)

  • Great show overall :)

I can hear the tubas very clearly and have a big and deep

The tempo was right on and never slowed down or sped up.

Drumline was great and love them [:

  • Man our visual score was soo low....116ouch! Probably because the show wasn't done. Our music score wasn't too bad considering we completely messed up.

we need to work harderr guyssss....

  • man i saw you guys last night. youre drum major is hotttt. lots of cute guys in the band :) and you guys did a good job :)

  • we screwed this up

  • Soloists need to shake those butterflies and just go for it. You should be prepared to hit every note cleanly and accurately..no excuses! Seemed quite a few people were MIA too. The energy seemed lacking and your sound nowhere near the volume you guys had at football games. Overall not bad. I know you guys can be a lot better. Keep working hard for next Saturday and bring it.

  • It's not so much as they were nervous as they were 1) totally exhausted; they were working out in the sun just prior to this performance for about 4-5 hours, and 2) getting screwed up by stuck valves, etc. I agree that the butterflies did play a certain part in the overall quality of the playing. I also noticed the energy tank in the third song. But mostly, it was sick people, heat, and tiredness.

  • what about the other schools that have the same hour of rehearsals and still managed to do well?

  • I never remarked on the hour of rehearsals prior to this. Sure, other bands might have had even more rehearsal time. However, my focus was more of the 4-5 hours right before the performance. It's killer on any band (except perhaps DCI, but we're talking high school band here).
