  • Still, one of my favorite memories of childhood was discovering the X-Men in the late 80's. I got so immersed in the mythology that I'd use lunch money to buy back-issues instead of eating at school. Damn, those were good times... And technically there was a 6th X-Men series during the 80's: Classic X-Men. True, it reprinted the 70's era X-Men, but many of the issues included newly written back-up stories that either resolved loose ends from previous story-arcs or explored character histories.

  • Completely disagree with these guys about the Australian outback era, I thought it was one of the most intriguing and solid eras of the X-men. They were out of there comfort zone and blossomed into greatness, I also thought it was quite dark.

  • and in this era Chris Claremont with special guest artists Dave Cockcrum ,John Bryne,Brent Andersen ,Paul Smith ,John Romita Jr [for a good long stretch until he left for Daredevil later : his style got a little better too as he continues on ] Marc Silvestri ,Jim Lee before he became the guy we all know and love today ..well before his peek in the nineties and image comics and all barry Windsor smith , Rick Leonardi ,[ I just read a lot of X-Men in essentials back in high school many moons ago

  • Stryfe introduced the legacy virus, Sinister was tricked into releasing it.
