  • Remix culture is a new term for me. But the concept feels very familiar. It's like he says, even the great works of art are "mash-ups."

  • Exactly! He mentions the Sistine Chapel ceiling as a classic example of a mash-up. How do these ideas change our interpretation about what copyright is or should be?

  • how is "remixing culture" talking like a professor? you know what a remix is, you know what a culture is, put the two together. pretty simple

  • If you couldn't understand what he was talking about I don't think he needs to learn how to communicate- you simply need to complete your SAT's. Culture as an entity has been assumed to be this solid unchanging thing, so Prof. Jenkins talks of 'remixing culture'- if we consider culture to be a 'remix' of an older form we can understand where we got it from and learn more about where we are going. You aren't unique- you're just a remix of your father. Understand?

  • Futurist's have rarely been right simply because they look at the possible development's of TODAY's new ideas. The big changes happen on TOMORROWS changes.

Personally we just wish the tank was cleaned more often- then we could see more clearly

  • We think Youtube has more of it's haters/Backlash simply because such challenges (for various reason's) can be expressed with less consequence. It's self empowering for them.

We agree the technological media developments continue to promote relitively new social systems. You tube struggles due due to open puplic access. It has it's fan bases but it's less sociable. Facebook has constructed this better as individualls are able to identify to groups - literally.

  • guy looks creepy & like a character from a comedy.

I like his ideas though. He makes a lot of sense.

He should be played by Jeffrey Tambour in the movie, lol.
