The ball was tipped by Marvin Williams and when the ball is tipped, doesn't matter by which team, the game clock is supposed to start, but the personnel in charge of the clock missed it. It gave VC the extra time he needed to recollect the ball after the tip, dribble up court, and pull up for the jumper. If the clock had started when it was supposed to, this shot would have never counted.
