  • I have always LOVED this movie. The title song is just haunting and Mike Gomez, who played Manuel, just nailed that character.

  • "Hey Charlie, how you spell 'illiterate'?"

"Only a gourd-head ask a stupid question like that. Look it up in the dictionary!"

"How you s'posed to look it it up the dictionary if ya can't spell it?"

AWESOME!!! I can't wait to get the DVD.

  • It's a pretty standard character drama. Some good action scenes, and of course great acting.Nicholson, keitel, and oates, are enough reason to check it out.But of course,no jack nicholson movie is complete without jack showing that irish charisma.2 scenes, the one with his wife when he tells her ''i can't afford a fuckin dreamhouse!''.And then when he confronts keitel about killing drivers.

  • Great movie.

  • The song "The Border" sung by Freddie Fender is fantastic. I cry each time I hear it. I bought the DVD just for the song. The movie is good but I love the song.

  • very good movie but underated

  • I wonder if Mexican illegals watch this as a training film before crossing.

  • Yes mi amigo. Whenever we crossed the border we carry a portable DVD video with us and this movie. By the way, how's the weather in Malibu? Keep me posted. I'm going over there next month

  • For some reason I think of Sam Peckinpah when I watch this movie.
