Earlier I went to search for about Time and Love-I was confused about that - glad you did this vid.

Wouldnt you have to think to come to this conclusion, end up letting those who claim to have conquered their ego to do our thinking for us? Or is the above reasoning just my ego desperatley trying to survive? What ya think?

Hi Nedd, 1st it's risky quoting others, particularly on the "ego vs thinking" topic.

I haven't experienced that which led Bok to his conclusion but I've been a "seeker," so I'm drawn 2 the topic. As a kid, I had an experience- from that moment forward, my life has been spent trying to re-create it. What a waste it is too. Anyway, back to your question:

Absolutely and given the current state of world affairs, I'd say many of us "operate" on what we've gathered from others.

What Bok refers to is the improper & overuse of "thinking." He attributes this to a calcification corpus collosum (the bridge between R & L hemispheres). As a result, "We're using the neurons, our memory, constantly to maintain our identity. Whether you are awake/asleep/dreaming, this process is carried on. But it's wearing you out."
