I didn't think kidde would make a smoke alarm with a light.

Do yourself a favor, go get a first alert SA720 it also has the escape light, and, It's PHOTOELECTRIC!!! So no false alarms from showers or cooking, and it will actually save your life in a smoldering fire, never trust an ionization when you need it.

one, it's IONIZATION, not IONIZING. second, ion smokes are set of by low amounts of smoke, such as cigarette smoke or smoke from a burning candle. ion smokes are for places that are generally fire-proof, and will almost never have fires or smoke in the area. Photo smokes go in anywhere.

I have a Kidde one, too. It's code 3, too.

It's the one with a carbon monoxide detector and a voice.

I like how almost all Escape Light smoke alarms light up before they sound, to give some warning.

I think the UL USA code requires that now. I wonder if that is like that in Canada...

It's like that in Canada. But strobes aren't required.

I got one that looks just like that almost but it doesnt have the lines in the plastic also mine is code three and the light flashes
