They'r counter balances, so that the boom will spin over evenly - it balances out the weight of the car on the other side.

yes you can. I made a ride similar to that when I was 10 only the whole ride didn't turn at the base. I counterwaited the part i was talking about and it ran so smoothly. Just extend the axel and put some knex tires or something at the other side.

you captured the ride movement nicley. Me i used regular legos and plastic sheet and created working rackable rides! Nice job by the way. you should paint them, make them look more "authentic". Cool.

awesome job! Heres a tip though, try and counter weight the main moving disc. That way it will be balanced and it will move in one fluid motion. Check out my ride!

In the paybox (you can't see it on this vid) there is a mini strobe pointing towards the ride .. simple but effective!

It would be almost impossible to make out of knex, as it has 3 arms - even though I did a 3 armed twist, it was not very robust, so to make a 3 arm system that spins would be very unlikely!

Well, my Tango is manually run, since I don't have many motors, but it is possible to make! I've made a mini-Tango, with more passenger seats (which KMG should consider for an indoor Junior model). I deconstructed it though. A simple model to make would be the Spin Out, or Move It 18.
