Live music never sounds as good when you listen to a recording. A prime example is Disturbed: when I listen to their live stuff on Youtube, Draiman (the singer) sounds terrible. However, when I saw them live, he was perfect.

Plus, Samberg is a comedian, not a singer. Yes, The Lonely Island makes songs, but they're doing it to be amusing - not to showcase amazing vocal talent.

You guys are idiots do this experiment at home...record the radio onto a voice recorder. Play it back it will sound terrible I guarantee. It's not the singer its the transfer of sound waves from a drum to a recorder to another drum to your ears. For example, the black eyed peas at the super bowl sounded horrible, now willIam may not be the god of singing but fergie is and the fact is she sounded horrible and that was with expensive gear. Any singer's concert on YouTube sounds bad.
