dragon quest delayed to july for japan because of some problems so USA releases will be about Sept to Dec and Europe will be probrably late Jan to early march though it should come out in euro and usa because dq5 and dq4 came out.

Oh thank God! I was so worried, I saw one of the earlier trailers and it looked like it was going to be an action RPG. Man, I was afraid that Dragon Quest had sold out. Its good to see the usual classic RPG set-up.

I've been playing DQ since number one on the NES.

Besides EarthBound/MOTHER, it's my favorite!

Actually the graphics are the same, the only thing that is different about the DSi is that it has better sound a bigger screen and it can play music and it has a built in web browser.

ohh now im really disapointed... thought it would be a perfect combination to buy this game together with the new dsi, mainly because i thought the graphic would be better(besides im not really that intrested in the camera and all these lame features)

But i am more interested in Realtime Roleplay... i am kinda sick of the round based ones on ds... theres so many of them but so less realtime rpgs...

The cinematics for the game are absolutely amazing. The melding of the two styles are so good, I am not only anticipating the game itself to see them in full, but I want to see an Anime based off them. Or at least an OAV. The style really lends itself to it easily.

But what I wonder about is I heard this game is returning back to the class system ala DQIII. So how do these movies come into play without set Character Classes? I guess more information will have to be released later.

well they changed a few things, for example, its turned based combat now instead of real time. and in the beginning they said that you can customize your hero (like hair, face, eyes) and your party members, but they most likely changed that now and they now have 3 party members that are set and arent customizable (except clothes and stuff).

This game looks way too good to be on DS. The graphics are amazing and given Level 5s amazing job on Dragon Quest VIII, this will be phenominal! Dragon quest/warrior is my favourite RPG series!
