@davidthmovies Because either way Malfoy was supposed to kill him, Snape made a promise that if Malfoy didn't then he would. If he didn't go through with it then he would have lost the Voldemort's trust, if they didn't trust him, it never would have worked out like it did. They never would have gotten the sword if he couldn't put a fake one in Bellatrix's vault and lead them to it.

I love that the film shows Snape actually at Godric's Hallow, walks into the room and sees Lily dead, and Harry in the background, and breaks down and holds Lily in his arms crying. It may not have occured in the books, kindof strange that Hagrid retrieved Harry instead of Snape, but it's a powerful dramatic effect that's tremendous for Snape's character.

you know what else is a fail. the part with the prophesy at 1:12 is wrong! that prophesy "servant and master shall be reunited once more" was said to HARRY in the THIRD movie when it was talking about wormtail reuniting with voldemort. the prophesy that was supposed to be put in was: "the one with the power to vanquish the dark lord approaches..." first heard in the 5th one. THAT prophesy was the one SNAPE heard which then caused all the subsequent events. how hard is it to put the right one in?

The fact about the girl's eyes not being blue or green doesn't bug me. It's the fact that they used Trelawney's prophecy from PoA and Wormtail's cowardliness behavior to substitute the actual prophecy and Wormtail's fight with Sirius. I mean, they had all of the actors that would've been involved in those scenes, they could have actually filmed those scenes (especially since we hear the original prophecy in the 5th movie)! Instead, it just looks no different than a YouTube fan-video.

In the first movie, Voldemort burst through the door - no time for Lily's little speech. Also, in the first movie the little Harry never cried. I know they tried to stay close to the book in that form, but also consider the fact of what was shown in the first movie! Consistency would have been nice.

Yes, Lily did have time; because voldemort burst through the door, but she might have heard him coming already, and, also, voldemort had to kill James first. Secondly, the little harry (in THIS scene) only cries when snape holds lily, not when Lily is talking to him. So actually it's all quite consistent with the first film.
