Your comment regarding the models themselves very untrue and disrespectful. Being one of them, I know those models personally and they all have proper eating habits and happen to be naturally thin.
in project runway, the judges praise the designers MORE than criticize their works. it's definitely because at the end of how many months of hard work, the designers have finally pulled off something amazing.
i dont understand why here in this show, its still like they are giving the designers a hard time of scrutiny and criticisms -_-
I love Daniella's collection. And damn, that British bitch is such a bitch to Anna and Fern, she's one tough judge. And I like how Daniella's being more nice now.
I like Rico a lot but he clearly hasn't had the amount of exposure that the others have. And he has a bit of a taste issue sometimes. I have never found any of the desigers of this or project runway to be spectacularly talented, but you're not going to find the next great fashion genius in this manner.
I think Daniella, although I don't like her smugness, she did a great job of interpreting her thought in fashion. Anna's was good but she doesn't have the it factor to be a high end designer... Reco's was alright, but too Mall Storish. JP's collection was amazing...so I would choose Daniella then JP
Im surprised none of the judges said anything about Balmain in response to Daniella's collection. It looks like a cheap, watered down, manly balmain. From the sequin and shoulder pads, even the slightly armor color palette (shimmery black and gray balmain) and her pants look like a apprehensive attempt to copy the harems from balmain as well. IDK!
Daniella's collection was really cohesive and more my style. It's edgy and cool. Anna's collection is beautiful and I would be happy to wear any of her pieces. Reco's collection was a hot mess. And J-P's collection was not very appealing to me even though his ideas and concepts are innovative.
I agree with everything you said! And I think the judges- Isaac in particular- were a little harsh on Daniella (and her model!). While it's true her models were skinnier like she said in P, her collection really stood out for its edginess. I loved it, and personally it's not even my style!
As for Anna, I knew that her lack of cohesiveness would be an issue, but that said, her clothes were all breathtaking. And James Paul improved and his clothes were more wearable in general than in the past.
james paul is by far the most innovative designer i've seen in any of the 'fashion designer' shows that i've come across... and it's a little sad cause i think he's probably a little ahead of our time...
I don't hold it against Bravo necessarily that they want to do some cross-promotion but the integrity of the show is undermined when they allow "real wives" to comment at the end about the collections. (Not surprisingly, the dress they are most impressed by -- Reco's feather dress -- is hideously ugly; a shapeless halloween costume.) Ugh.
