Yep, this clip is from Lifetime network. It may have had to do with lifetime channel and music rights. Or it may have been a choice of Elton John's. The movie was shown on local network channel before Ryan died. I know Elton took it to heart when Ryan passed... He performed at his funeral.

Ryan was a hemophiliac and because of that he had to take a medicine called Factor VIII which is made of blood. One of the donors for factor VIII had AIDS which contaminated the medicine. Ryan contracted the disease after taking this Factor. In the end, the medicine that once kept him living ended up causing his death.
