1:You didn't take care of your RSK then or somebody kicked the shit out of it. Subarus are reliable. I've got a 2.2 Legacy that hasn't given me any serious trouble & it's still going on 200K+mis on the original tranny, engine, & rear differential with no signs of slowing down or stopping.
2:My transmission doesn't overheat, my bottom end is as strong as ever, basic maintenance is rather easy, & there's nothing wrong with the differential. You just don't like Subarus.

1st, i never said they were the fastest things on the road. ive been in an evo 4, gt libero with 5k on the rebuild, rs, rsb etc. driven the lot minus the evo. start at 100ks an hour and the rsb was quicker than the lot... power delivery is how it is delivered ie, twin turbs ive been in drop off after 4k or so but once the second turbo kicks in they pull jst as hard as any evo ive seen or been in.. hold power to the redline whereas an evo loses it after 6k... and dude im from the north shore lol
oh and funny you should say the diffs are shit, never heard of a suby diff shitting itself and the ayc diffs which come on evos are absolute nightmares...

GT-Bs & RSKs are pretty good from what I've seen. Maybe when you bought them, somebody had already beat on them & made them look good for sale. This does happen a lot at dealers.

2:The boxer engine that Subaru uses is a better design than any I4 out there. I have had no issue working on them & they aren't as hard to service as you make them seem to be.

WRX. Cheaper repairs and maintenance. I really like audis. Nothing against them. I was actually looking at the 2.7 twin turbo A6 before I bought my wrx. But I just don't have the money for repairs and I'm not rich enough to pay for the upgrades on those cars (and I'm addicted to mods!). Just exhaust is like 2 grand for a good one on an audi. My wrx catback exhaust was 350 used lol. If you already got either one they are good cars, but that's just my 2 cents.
audi 1.8t's are very easy to tune and you can get large amounts of power without doing much work. I don't know if that helps your decision. I just wanted to throw that one out there.

I have a WRX and I don't have to take it to special Euro auto shops or anything. I can take it anywhere, get far cheaper parts and not be afraid to actually use the car.

Bypass valve. A BOV valve by definition vents to the atmosphere. A bypass valve feeds that air back into the intake. RECYCLING :)
