  • Indica song, definitely)))

  • Lol. All those guys smoked reefer. They are not played at black tie events, but they were all reeferheads, or even more at the time. Any modern jazz enthusiasts heard of speakeasies? ;)

  • this is the most relaxing song....ever!!!

  • i have a limited edition #135 of 500 autographed lithgraph of cab for sale on craigslist. i'm thinking of keeping it now. i love his music.

  • Infact, that raises another point- newcomers are cool. This is for those who have been burning blunts before most of you were born. But the last image you want to send is a lack of coherence or straight thouht. 1) ellecting a president solely because he'll address the legalization issue is bold. There is no promise of it, and it potentially sacrafices other duties an official liek that might have. I smoke, but i know what the fuck im talkin bout. Up if you with me.

  • It is clear i am an avid smoker in support of the legal movement. However, it is just as foolish to say that all pot smokers are kind, as saying that legalizing would be a downfall. Regardless of the cause, you have to be honest- cause in all honesty, regardless where yall at, i know multiple people that would murder for a half or less. Atleast an eigth. Anyways, It has more than enough POTENTIAL to be used peacefully universally. Making reefer clouds are cool- just dont get blinded by them...!

  • First time I've heard this. From the sound of his voice and the style of orchestration, this was recorded quite late in his career. Bass trombones didn't make their appearance in big-band trombone sections untill the late 40's/early 50's, and didn't really catch on until well into the 60's; there's one in this lineup. His voice sounds well aged, as well. While I agree with the sentiments, it's not one of his better efforts, in my view.

  • the two thumbs down were from above the influence boobs

  • good old Cab Calloway... i wish i was born into these days... ;)

  • I only approve of Medical Pot. It helped my dying brother-in-law 34 years ago.

  • by no means not commercial...good and bad... it's a reflection of a state in which it's wonderful to enjoy things, but not always to create them; GREAT songs are perfect high or sober..and 1 remembers them better, so they may learn it too.

  • The Larry Adler version of this song is better ..

  • Yeah I smoke weed and I love Cab Calloway...But this isn't one of his best songs and it most certainly isn't a good smoking song.

  • What if drug laws were written by pharmacologist instead of politicians?

  • I believe this song wasn't popular because it stinks...

    l

The government uses marijuana as a tool to criminalize certain folk and put money in the industrial prison - war on drugs system. Hemp would ruin the synthetic fiber producers, the oil producers, the big pharma companies. What if everyone grew it in their yard?? People would be happier and healthier without paying anyone! That is really scary to the current capitalists..

  • I'm of German descent and I'm not afraid.

  • A friend tells me she has it on an album called Teapad Songs

  • My, I did enjoy that.

  • REPEAL is the only workable, long-term solution.

Not "decriminalization" or "legalization" or even "re-legalization", and damned sure not "tax and regulate", bcause that'll be even worse! Think about it for a few seconds...

REPEAL gets rid of the statutes once and for all, and can save BILLIONS annually, not even considering retail sales, which are already taxed ith existing tax codes!

We can save BILLIONS, and generate tax revenue, just by killing a STUPID, damaging, prohibitionary statute!

  • Decriminalization is the way to go, I think. I'd rather buy from private growers who insist on producing high quality produce, than government monopolized macro farms who have no incentive to produce a better product.

  • @ChrisSketch I'm sure they would create a whole new sect to govern how it would be grown, if they didn't take the opportunity to create alot of new jobs they would be morons, and the people that would run it would care

  • Society has completely changed since the era of Cab Calloway. People at that time were very aware of marijuana use and or opium use. Neither at this time have been determined to be legal. The use of medical marijuana should be a must in the United States. Our representatives are either narrow minded or afraid of the extreme right.

  • if you legalize it, it'll become like cigarettes, and how much real tobacco is in a cigarett?

  • just vote Ron Paul and we as america will become one step closer to legalization.

  • Was not expecting this. Go. Cab always knew you were cool, just one more reason now.

  • i'm white and i'm totally not afraid of a little reefer brotha!!!

  • maryyyyy jewww anna

  • Love that zoot suit.

  • Cab Calloway was the coolest man who ever lived.

  • I Aint affraid of weed and Im White, how times change!

  • SHOULD BE FREE INDEED LEGAL AND FREE.

  • Where could I get an mp3 of this??

  • @ProMusicProf Download the program "Free YouTube To MP3 Converter".

  • @ProMusicProf try this: video2mp3(dot)net turns youtube vids to mp3 for free

  • This is not cab calloway

  • Oh yeah, I'm shakin' in my panties... oh Popeye, let's get high

  • Great song. Ought to be played on radio now in states where medical marijuana is allowed.

  • LOVE this

  • I like the Larry Adler version a lot better. It's way darker and you can feel the pain in his singing. Brilliant.

  • did you find out the release date on this little toon??????

  • happy 420 yo

  • "This doesnt even sound like Cab" It sounds exactly like Cab did in his last decades.

  • Yes Calloway, it is another thing the white man is afraid of (I'm white). I am not afraid of this beautiful plant. Long live the reefer, long live the peace. Americans wanted to leave a country they felt was too corrupt and war hungry, so they moved to the America's found people who were peaceful, loving, and sharing. They stole their land called it their own and tilled it to the bones.

  • @huronwarriors Its now a good thing, weed kills

  • @rolo3040 I hope there's sarcasm there lol

  • @rolo3040

Weed kills? Weed has never killed anybody. The insane "war" against weed has killed thousands.

The prohibition against weed, which is far healthier to use than tobacco or alcohol, has done terrible damage to USA, Mexico and generations of people.

End the madness. Make weed legal now. Do it now.

Also make hemp legal to use as an industrial fiber, as it was before the paranoia infected USA.

Pot smokers are gentle and relaxed. They do not commit crimes (other than smoking pot).

  • @blizno "pot smokers are gentle and relaxed. They do not commit crimes."

That is soooo true, when you smoke pot you still at home and mellow out.

When your out drinking people get loud, angry, rude and have more chance of getting into a fight and vomitting everywhere than weedheads.

    Legalise the Reefer!

  • @adamxy3

Ending the insanity of the "war on drugs" would improve the nation beyond belief. For that and other great reasons, we must elect the only President who will actually address legalization-Dr. Ron Paul.

  • @rolo3040 people can say what ever they want but the truth is something else entirely, and you sir don't speak anything close to it

  • Were he another dood that performed in 'white face'? I know that was popular in the 20's thru to the 50's. Very fUCKING funny, aye? Almost as hilarious as when a man dresses as a woman... lord save 'the' gays...

  • Ever hear on the news that someone killed their old lady in a marajuana-induced rage? Nope. Drunken rage? You tell me. All the old weed laws were passed for racist and greed reasons, and didn't have a damn thing to do with public safety.

  • This is definitely Cab Calloway in his later years.

  • @kennythecooldude i'm inclined to agree...it sounds similar to a lot of cab's work, but the voice doesn't quite strike me. fantastic song, though - i'd be interested in finding out who it is.

(also, cab's band regularly employed other singers, such as members of the band as for 'all i can give you is love')

  • @akanerico Might be Larry Adler, he did a version of this song, though it does sound like Cab in his later years.

  • why does everything turn it some dumb shit! its music. enjoy or go away!the title kinda gives it away who the fuck it is!

  • @RevRoach I am Shocked, _Shocked_ to learn that anything less than the whole truth has ever been spoken by those who hold political clout.

You must be mistaken. surely, this is the case.

  • Singing bout my girl Maryjane......

  • Awesome..... Never Heard Before..... Wow

  • The key is for it to be legalized as medicinal. We are patients. No matter how you look at it it's been a remedy for many ailments. One day it will be legal. Old generations are leaving us and which are the ones staying behind? The ones who will make it legal for medicinal purposes only...

  • Illegal marijuana: Users become criminals, weed is more expensive and the money goes to gangs and drug lords

Legal marijuana, sold through government-controlled and regulated dispensaries: Private sellers and illegal dealers can't compete with the state's/country's legal business. Users don't have to deal with shady dealers anymore, which also keeps them away from hard drugs.

  • @TSlMFAUKIS A gentlemen and a scholar good sir.

  • @TSlMFAUKIS correct 100%

  • @TSlMFAUKIS prevents minors from acquiring the drugs, generates revenue for the government, frees up prison space. in the uk, NHS funding doesn't need increasing because usage goes up fractionally.

  • @TSlMFAUKIS : How about no govermnet monopoly of anything, and we buy marijuana as the crop that it is? How about a free market in drugs. Screw the government, screw the cartels, both pharmaceutical and illegal.

  • @bsadewitz How about not posting your opinions that have absolutely nothing to do with the music?

  • @BondoFox : Oh, yeah, I was definitely the first one to that here. Right.

  • @TSlMFAUKIS actually i know for a fact the gov. product is very overpriced and its not too much better than what you can get on the street, that is if you know the right people, which im sure a very miniscule number of you do

  • @Jmma1235 acctually now it's expensive cuz they have to compete with the streets but once its legalized the prices will go down

  • @TSlMFAUKIS

Even state-run liquor stores make money. We'll be buying weed from a different set of crooks is all, because we still won't be allowed to grow our own.

In California, johnny come-lately speculators and big agriculture are sucking up all the licenses. So if you were hoping prices would be set by charitable government social workers, don't.

I wouldn't put it past the smart money to spray nicotine on grass, to addict people to that, since they can't hook them on weed.

  • @TSlMFAUKIS Which has what to do with this recording of Cab Calloway?

  • @TSlMFAUKIS You don't want the government in control of your pot. It'll start making you addicted and sick.

  • @TSlMFAUKIS no 2 for the 15 at dispensaries tho lol

  • @TSlMFAUKIS Marijuana wouldn't even have to be controlled by the government, just run like current liquor stores. stupid how a substance that has actual medical benefits as well as recreational usage, and low addiction potential, is illegal, while Alcohol ruins your liver and doesn't have any medical benefits and presents a high potential for addiction. I think the thing that gets me is the fact that in the U.S., marijuana is still a Schedule I drug, placing it with heroin and LSD

  • @TSlMFAUKIS then there goina pumnp it full ofshit

  • Respond to this video... just make it legel Every were for medical purpesos haha

  • @azzummm

Several reasons it became illegal: a) when prohibition ended, the distillers didn't want competition from a cheap, legal intoxicant. b)it was the drug of choice of the black intelligensia of the time; poets, writers, musicians, etc. Laws against heroin, etc. were less rigidly enforced as such drugs kept them down, unlike reefer. c) the Treasury agents who enforced Prohibition needed something new to do; enforce drug laws and enforce the National Firearms Act.

  • @TSlMFAUKIS true but i cant trust the government with my weed we should just treat it like we used to, just a simple plant we should be able to grow it and smoke it as we please, fuck regulations look at what happened to tobbacco

  • In 1932, a musical number "Smokin' Reefers" opened in a review on Broadway starring Mr. Belvedere, Clifton Webb. hope that helps

  • does anyone know where to download this song??? i want it!!

  • 32k views, 0 dislikes. Do the math.

  • @phredbhang do the math? silly rabbit. reefer and math don't go together.

  • @boinkburger Definitively not at the same time, but who´s high all the time, seven days, every week of his life? Get real, dude.

  • im not afraid of the reefer.lol i infact love and respect it

  • Dig that Zoot Suit!! ;o) And unfortunately, "All The Jive is Gone"...........

  • Dig that Zoot Suit!! ;o)

  • The arrangement and the sonic quality are first rate. At least 1950's, but his voice is quite rough in places. Perhaps 1960's. We need a Calloway discographer to nail this gem down.

  • @dubinnabug

so..... your saying that marijuana PHYSICALLY made the crane break and kill someone... I hope you just worded that improperly. Because if not, your fucking retarted

  • No, you're wrong. it's definitely not Calloway - It's a group named Murphy's Law. I know Calloway's voice. I have practically all the CDs released.. The name of the song is: "Reefer Man (Cab Calloway) and that's as close as it comes to Calloway.

  • 0 People haven't met the Reefer Man who knew?!

  • ok, this is from the rock band, Murphy's Law.. it's on their second album by the same name - Murphy's Law

  • That doesn't sound like Calloway, but it's cool just .the same :)

..and to all those infected from the propaganda, it actually GROWS brain cells, not kill them. That's called Neurogenesis... Put down the drinks and grow a brain..

  • We all know that Cannabis is good for your health, stop arguing and just enjoy the music.

  • mmmm.....puffin .....creativity ....nothin new

  • "It's the thing, that white folks are afraid of". Hehehehehe

  • @hoz49 shit not any more tho

  • @hoz49 Funny that statistics now show that white people use Marijuana more than anyone else, 4x more than black people.

  • @hoz49 How racist is that?

  • @FLHTP2007 Do your research. The whole "prohibition" on MJ originally was based in racism. The whites in power said MJ was used by blacks and mexicans, "dirty" people, people who wern't human.

  • @hoz49 I think that's a very outdated view. lol

  • Respond to this video... but funny

  • Comment removed

  • YOU WOULD ONLY HAVE TO PAY A $100 FINE NOW IN CALIFORNIA FOR POSSESSING WEED!! LEGALIZE IT!

  • Damn...Cab Calloway was a pothead.

  • @MartinDevido9000 lol totally! ;))

  • So say weed would be more expensive if it were legal is outright foolishness. The ganja in the Netherlands is much cheaper than it is in lots of places (i.e. most of the US). Granted it is more expensive there than it is in Canada, but the quality outweighs the small markup in price.

If the governments were to legalize pot, they would do so with the intention of removing the profits of those selling it illegally, otherwise everyone would still bu theirs illegally.

  • @CH1PP0 are you shitting me ? the only difference in pot between canada and usa is purple kush. Not even joking. The markup in New York and other mega cities is there due to the huge mass of people. the prices in normal towns are the same as Canada. I've been in both places.

  • Totally awesome!

  • if weed was legal, it would not cost 3 times. Take a trip to Holland. Mind your own business and no one messes with you. had a cop light a joint for me.

  • If weed were legalized we would be paying at least 3 times the price for an eighth. Be thankful for small mercys people illegal means no tax, so stop trying to cut off your own noses to spite your faces.

  • I'm no expert, but Cab sounds older, and the band more post-jazz, post-swing . . . maybe 1948, or even later?

As a minor side note, I can't smoke or anything anymore, but PROHIBITION ALWAYS FAILS, EXCEPT WHEN USED A CERTAIN WAY TO FILL PRIVATE PRISONS, AND FUND A MOST PROFITABLE "WAR ON DRUGS"!!

PROHIBITION OF ALCOHOL FAILED UTTERLY LONG BEFORE REPEAL IN 1933, AND SO IS LEGAL - YET ALCOHOL IS REPEATEDLY SHOWN TO BE THE MOST DANGEROUS AND DESTRUCTIVE OF ANY DRUG BY FAR.

    REPEAL PROHIBITION!!!

  • @BeMyBigHero Fuck off i love my beer

  • @falloftroyfunk Good for you...that doesn't change the fact that it's ridiculous to have Alcohol legal if Cannabis is not legal.

  • where can you down load this song?

  • Lol its funny about the whole cancer thing, there have been tests proving that Marijuana actually can help prevent cancer, also that people who smoke cigs, people who smoke Marijuana and people who have never smoked anything put side by side in order of greatest chance of cancer (in particular lung cancer) is cig smokers, non smokers, then Marijuana smokers.

So I am sorry to anyone who doesn't learn their facts, but you should all read up on the true facts about Marijuana

  • @GregorGrigorio Forget comparing it to cigs! What a weak ton of propaganda you've inhaled! It's less harmful than COFFEE!!

  • .

    Drugs should be legal ...

    1st of all :

One of the HARDEST and MOST DEVASTATING of them is LEGAL, and that's ALCOHOL.

    2nd :

When it's legal, the state can tax it and get money for useful social activities.

    3rd :

When it's legal, then, any drug addict isn't considered as some sort of rebel anymore, but just the same as any stupid drunkard.

    4rth :

Part of the mafia business becomes obsolete. A lot of the mafia money gets invested in standard activities which are slowly integrated to the system.

  • love this song.. to bad cigs are legal and weed is not

  • This is Cab Calloway, a later rendition of his own 1932 release "Smoking Reefers".

  • Lyrics are kool & The Music is REAL However....... it's no Cab Calloway though

  • This song is perfect for smoking to. But I agree with FlippinFlaves; it doesn't sound like Cab.

  • @keb0124 It does sound like cab. It just sounds like him when he's stoned

  • @keb0124 It does sound like cab. It just sounds like him singing when he's stoned

  • Comment removed

  • Awesome song but this is not Cab in any way shape or form

  • @FlippinFlaves I know his voice well, and this is absolutely, definitely Cab. However, it sounds later in his career - both in the timbre of his voice being older, and the timbre of the technology of the recording of the band.

  • @FlippinFlaves You are wrong. It is Cab Calloway without a doubt.

  • weed needs 2 be legalized for all purposes. weed is really tha only thing that helps my sever bi polar disorder. i can be cycling and flippin out,sad and depressed, and sumtimes i have no appetite when im in a bi polar episode. I TAKE A COUPLE TOKES OF SUM GUD SHIT AND ALMOST INSTANTLY IM BACK TO NORMAL AND CAN HANDLE THINGS AND NOT SEEM SO OVERWHELMED CUZ THA OVERWHELMING FEELINGS ARE 1 OF THA TOP 3 TRIGGERS!!! ITS 2010 AND THEY STILL AINT GOT IT RITE. ACHOHOL KILLS YOU AND POSSIBLY OTHERS

  • UNBELIEVABLE BULLSHIT I HEAR HEAR,EVER HEAR OF A PERSON GOIN 90 MILES A HOUR THE "WRONG WAY" ON A FREEWAY,happened here in phx, drunk.i smoked it for years, lost the desire, since the sixties when i was young,ALCOHOL THE "DRUG" YES IT IS,THE DRUG ALCOHOL IS ACCEPTABLE,WHILE POT IS EVIL,AND YOU WILL GO TO JAIL,BECOME A HEROIN ADDICT,ECT.anyone ever wonder THAT ALCOHOL IS THE "GATEWAY" DRUG.nancy reagan and husband had the best, most expensive liquor for the white house,DRUGS PEOPLE,LEGALIZE,TAX IT

  • Reefer or religion?

  • Because i got HIGHHHHHHHH Nevermind

  • Comment removed

  • No, white folks ain't afraid of reefer, marijuana and Hashish. The Russian Scythian culture used to gather in tents where flower tops of Cannabis were thrown on to hot coals and the smoke was inhaled to instill courage into that warrior society. The first guy that was busted for pot in the United States after prohibition was a white guy. I know that Cab Calloway was being sarcastic, but then on the other hand, Nixon, Reagan, and Agnew were scared shitless of the reefer man.

  • thats not cab calloway

definitely not his voice man. A bad impressionist, or a imitator. But not cab.

  • thats not cab calloway

  • "Save your propoganda for someone who gives a shit"? I don't recall talking to you.

As far as weed making people lazy thats not true. The people that get lazy when smoking weed were already lazy. I don't know about all smokers but I do have a friend that smoked all through high school and collage and never faild a single class, he went on to turn down a job with the fbi to take a job doing the same work (cell phone encreption of some sort) for alot more money. BTW suck a dick.

  • The King of Class acts!

  • mmm, might just be time :)

  • SMOKE WEED...KILL WHITEY!!!LOL JUST PLAYIN'.....

  • @EARLYKINGJAMES Oh you bastard! Hahahaha!

  • funny.

  • the "thing white folks are afraid of" wow,now that's a lyric!

  • 8 may marihuana march

8 mayo marcha mundial pro despenalización marihuana

  • Its one of his fun songs. he never put it on a record.

  • he was a hottie 1:50

  • That was the joint!

  • Fuckin awesome!, 5*.

  • Here in Brazil they put the blame on Marijuana about a lot of problems. And a lot of part of people believe in this. I would like to see the smokers free to smoke without fear to be arested. here too.

  • How really sad. The problems caused by weed in your country can be stopped only though legalization. Run the drug dealers out of power if they can't use the drugs for money.

  • if they do itsall about money. and now its a taboo to smoke weed so the politicians wont even mention it.

  • Hi, The music was recorded for a tribute album Ben Bagley's "Arthur Schwartz Revisited"in the 70s. Other artists on the LP are : Blossom Dearie, Gloria De Haven; Phyllis Diller, Warde Donovan, Charles Rydell, Ethel Merman, Jimmy Durante. Cab also appears on several albums from this series.

  • @TheHideHoMan

Thanks for the info on this tune (without getting bogged down in the pro and anti drug hysteria.)

    Jimbo

  • the song is pre 1932.

in 1937, Dupont and some other associated companies aproved the "marijuana tax act".

since then, the whole ZOMBIE world has been following the U.S. in the hipocrisy.

    since then, "reefers" are ilegal.

nothing against our U.S. brothers. I'm talking about the associates that have been ruling the world for the last three centuries. don't know of this? keep watching, in South America, a reedition of the Opium War from the 1800s.

    cheers from Brazil. : )

  • I am a cab caloway fan from way back, and I love my marijauna , . . . no government is going to stop me from growing and smoking marijauna , I dont sell drugs , use hard crap, and own my own lucrative business , and dont hide the fact , " that Im a Hop Head" lol , . . . .see reefer madness on public domain theater for the complete uncut movie , . . lol . . . in roswell fire ing up my bowl as I write , . . .

  • twice as worse for you as cigarettes?

Check your facts. Cigarettes kill, no one has ever been killed my weed. Do some research, schools & governments do lie ya know.

  • @RevRoach there is more tar in a joint than in one pack of cigarettes. it may not kill you but the tar makes it tough to breathe!

  • @jeffkahl SORRY DUDE,WORKED IN A V.A. MEDICAL CENTER 33YRS,THOSE OLD GUYS WITH EMPHYSEMA,ECT,NEVER SMOKED POT,THEY SMOKED CAMELS,GET A CLUE

  • @RevRoach Ehhhh dont jump the gun there... Weed isnt great for you. its not as bad a ciggarettes, not by a long shot. But smoking ANYTHING is bad for you. Frequent weed users DO have a much higher chance of cancer. Plant matter and tar and such, and you are bringing and holding it into the lungs longer than for other things.

  • @damiongringe can you provide a link that shows the correlation between weed and higher incidence of cancer?

  • Comment removed

  • @RevRoach THATS if you don't smoke it. Then its perfectly safe... That is what you mean right?

  • @AlecMier Sure, Alcohol is good for you, the communists are invading, you might wanna build a bomb shelter, and valium is good for you.

    lol get over yourself.

  • @theoryspecialist I didn't know. Hopefully I find god in that bomb shelter and tell his fat ass he sucks at his job.

  • @AlecMier ahahahahaha. Touché

  • @RevRoach maybe you should check some facts too. people who smoke weed are some ot the laziest, underachieving people i know. No body has been killed smoking weed mostly because they dont do anything else. Save your propoganda for someone who gives a shit

  • @RevRoach This was being said because the drug abuse industry, the urine analysis industry, and their government stooges spend untold amonut of money to maintain a lie. The government of the United States made a mistake of intimidating other governments into outlawing Cannabis through the UN. How would it look like if the same government changed its mind about Cannabis use?

The lies against marijuana have to be maintained. Cannabis can be consumed orally too!

  • @RevRoach It's not worse than cigarettes, but inhaling all that smoke is bad for your lungs. I know people that smoke all the time and cough worse than the marlboro man on his death bed.

  • @RevRoach

You won't die from a joint but taking smoke of any kind into your mouth and lungs can cause cancer of the mouth, throat or lungs as well as many other health problems.

  • @RevRoach Actually there has been one recorded death from hashish - when a crane broke on the docks and dropped a ton of the stuff onto the head of a hapless stevedor!

  • @RevRoach YOU HAVE TO REMEMBER BACK THEN THERE WAS A HUGE CAMPAIGN AGAINST REEFER. THE COMPANIES WERE PUSHING TOBACCO, BUT NOT THIS. IF THEY KNEW WHAT WE KNOW NOW THE WOULD STILL HAVE DONE THE SAME. IT'S CALLED CAPITALIZATION.

  • @RevRoach It is true actually, but people smoke tobacco probably 10 more time than they smoke weed so it causes much more damage.

  • @jerec576

    do. your. research.

twice as bad as cigarettes?! this is a downright lie.

  • GREAT SONG ! america4hemp

  • Censorship has hidden the origin of this old classic. "What dreams are made of, white folks are afraid of", says it all. Now we have a President that tried pot and didn't get caught. The year it was recorded or whatever doesn't mean much.

Focus on the bigger issue, YES WE CANnabis.

  • This song is from

    a 1932 Broadway Play titled

    Flying Colors.

    Based on a book

by Howard Dietz and Arthur Schwartz

    The cast included

    Clifton Webb, Imogene Coca,

    with Vilma and Buddy Ebsen.

    it ran for 188

    performances.

  • Perhaps another version of this song was used in that play. There is no way this version could've been recorded in 1932. I'm thinking this version was probably recorded in the 1960s or '70s. It definitely ISN'T the Larry Adler version.
