Yeah but you know it will make millions, no matter how much it ruins people's ideas of what Trek is.

But you know, on the other hand, they always put the most "exciting" parts on the commercials. Maybe it will be different than this.

I've heard rumors about a new Trek, coming out in 08(didn't quite make it), ever since 2006. I just about went into shock when he said "James Tiberius Kirk", cuz it sets it up like another "car" movie, so that's what I was expecting.

interesting to see this new trailer

however something that disturbes me a bit, isthe attempts to connect the future with olf fashioned 20th century. why does a 23rd century person drive a 20th century car, why is the enterprise built on earth by 20th century technology like an old fashioned ship? for me it doesnt really fit in into the star trek universe

also watching this new trailer I am afraid it will be no star trek as it should be. star trek is more than just about space, sex and action.
