  • I like KOSHKIN.

  • does anybody know exactly how to perform the tamburo militare in the later half of this piece? From what i can see in this video, it looks like he is muting the E and A strings with his left hand while preforming a tremelo with his right hand. Is this correct? Am I missing something?

  • @adognamedsally

You should put E string by your finger on the left hand and pull it down above A string, then push it under A string. It works only on 5 column.

  • If I tried learning this I would probably go mad by the first week...

  • 1 WORK EPIC!!!

  • lol

    amazing!

  • To get a 'handle' on this piece you hear the entire suite and read the narrative behind it...

  • wtf? lol. i suppose i like it

  • wtf? this was a sick one^^ :-)

  • like, wtf omg.

  • i play it better really :D

  • AWESOMENESS!!!

    Especially the imitation of drums.

  • nick you are my friend and hero.

    -love your friend tony!

  • this-is-awsome!

  • This is the first time i hear this and I think i is some fusion of neo-classical guitar and future art. I wonder what tuning he uses.

  • Of all the works of classical guitar you could've heard first, you chose this one?

  • No he was saying that this was the first classical guitar piece he did not appreciate.

  • Yeah, Koshkin's style is uh... unique....

  • Pas mal du tout, attention aux toutes petites fautes de temps en temps. C'est pas un morceau hyper difficile mais très original en tout cas. Courage et bonne chance pour ton université.

  • Bravo Nickolas!!! I'm a fan of Koskin's work(especially The Prince's Toys suite) and I know how hard it is to play this piece well.Encore une fois bravo et un grand succès dans ta carrière!

  • Damn!

Still don't know how to play it even with a video reference. Just can't imagine what the sheet music looks like...

  • Wow, I would hate to have to play that. That would be punishing for me. You did it very well, I am super impressed!

  • Well this particular song is just not my kind of music. But Nick is quite obviously an excellent guitarist.

  • i can see you worked very hard to play this piece you could try to slow down a little because in the places where is harder to play you can't keep up with the speed you started with

  • well isn't this just a little bastard of a piece to play. I like it tho

  • Oh damn great!!! I did'nt expect that a classical guitar has so many extended techniques just like the crossed string. You're one of my heroes, in line with koshkin, Andrew York, Peo Kindgren and Bach

  • How the hell do you get that tinny sound right at the beginning?

  • The E string is crossed over the B string. You physically lift the E, usually with the 'm' finger, and place up and over the B.

  • Awesome! Thanks for the video!

I've got the score for ages; and also laziness next to it ;( ... But anyway, watching your playing helps to "make sense" of those symbols in the score ;)

    Thanks again ;)

  • Classy performance! Congrats!

  • Hey man, i must say "Congratulations", it was a really good performance...

  • why is my sheet so diferent of this interpretation?

  • I can't say I'm not a little jealous. Nice work, Nick.

  • Wow! Very few guitarists have the music for this. I say you did a brilliant job!!

  • I must say, this was a treat to watch. I know this man personally and he makes me smile. Wonderful performance Nicolas, the music for this piece must look ridiculous.
