simply beautiful and splendid, Chants d'Auvergne by french composer Cantaloube, extracted from songs from that franch region which he treated with a maximun respect, very nice soprano

Despite many excellent more recent contenders in the field, Davrath's recording of the Songs of the Auvergne is still my favourite. her vocal colouring, phrasing and diction are unique. I've just uploaded a couple more!

@paulprocopolis -- You're spot on, paulprocopolis. She keeps it simple, doesn't she, which is surely the essence of folk singing? Her versions bring me closer to imagining the rustic culture of of 19th C Auvergne, which Canteloube was trying to capture.
