This is ridiculous...if we allowed same sex marriage, that would not automatically pave the way for pedophiles to marry children, or people to marry animals. And that is because marriage would be a contract between 2 (or more) loving, CONSENTING ADULTS. Children, animals, and inanimate objects do not have the legal standing to enter into a legal contract

Another issue with the claim regarding orientation is the illusion that there couldn't be tendencies otherwise, say for more than one partner.

Marriage is about sacrifice for the children, the psuedo designation of 'gay marriage' is inherently selfish because it puts the adult couples choice ABOVE the ideal circumstances for the child, that is, the adult's decisions of 'self-determination' trump the best conditions for the child. True marriage is based on sacrifice between lovers FOR THEIR KIDS.

Your premise has nothing to do with the issue. The fact that some people who are married don't have children of their own, does not diminish the fact that children who are raised by their natural mother and father do better than those that aren't.
