  • The roads generally seem to be in worse condition in Dallas than those in Toronto.

Great videos btw. Subscribed and looking forward to more! Particularly enjoyed your vids in Mexico. I was as sketched out as you probably were haha.

  • @TheCarBlogger Hi Will, my 2nd trip around Dallas, first time (4-5 years ago) visited the entire city, love Houston way more than Dallas. Forth Worth is way more modern than Dallas. Been to Tijuana, N Laredo and Ciudad de Juarez (the one with El Paso), in time of course, never ever stayed over night, you guessed why, lots of ugly but true stories with ppl getting killed in those places.

Red Flag (rain) in Miami for the Nascar race, at 9:08 is the area with the racetrack:

  • @401RoadWarrior You sure drive around to many places that I'd just fly to lol. Do you rack up a lot of miles on your car or do you rent? Definitely going to watch a few more of your vids.

  • How fast were you going on the highway and what's the speed limit?

  • @mr23monkey As you obviously know, everywhere in the States speed limits are posted in MPH (miles per hour), 60 mph = 90 kph, I think that portion of road in this video was a 60 mph zone but I guess I was going with the flow, I never do more than 30 kph (in miles in the States) over the PSL (Posted Speed Limit), also gas is damn expensive these days and for such long road trip saving gas is pretty important, right? Almost 12K km the whole trip, lots of stops for gas, right? LOL

  • @mr23 monkey Actually, 62 mph = 100kph. From what I have been told and from what I have read is that Europe has gotten stricter with their traffic enforcement. Europe has a lot of speed and red light cameras. These devices have not been installed on a widespread basis due to their unpopularity by the driving public and they are perceived to be a money grab by the government. Also, under our laws the citation issued by camera device can often be challenged in our court system.

  • very cool, Mr Chris :)

  • @northstar68 Next video will be pretty sentimental for those 40+ years of age. That's where I was heading to at the end of this very video.

  • Dallas and Toronto are cities with interesting parallels. They both have about the same population and the majority of their growth has come over the last 40 years. They both have sprawled to encompass neighboring communities. They both currently have fairly strong local economies. They seem to have similar freeway systems with heavy traffic. Do you agree with my observations? What are similarities and what are the differences? I know of acquaintances that have moved to Dallas for employment.

  • @michael112254 You're right about the comparison, but I would rather live in Dallas where sales tax is not 13% and gas not ~40% more expensive, also we live up here in TO like sardines, same roads, same infrastructure as 30 years ago but population has increased dramatically thru crazy liberal immigration, Ontario's unemployment rate for Aug is 7.5% when nationally is 7.3%, Alberta is 5.6% (Alberta Oil Sands is booming), TO unemployment rate ~9%. PPL leave TO and ONT for Alberta, our own TX.

  • @401RoadWarrior I am surprised by the high level of unemployment in TO. I was under the impression that TO had a robust economy. What is going on in TO? You have American levels of unemployment. Dallas does seem to have a very modern infrastructure. I would think that with the high levels of taxation that the infrastructure would be better. It is the same with a lot of the East coast cities where you have high taxation and an out of date infrastructure. I have not been to TO since 1995.

  • @michael112254 Easy answer, Michael: LIBERAL IMMIGRATION, 2 be more accurate: maybe 50% of the total immigrants for the entire CDA are coming to TO only, over 1 1/2 MILLION immigrants in the past 10 years, not enough jobs 2 keep up with this massive level of immigration, that's it. Type of immigrants: permanent immigrants (those that come with LEGAL immigrants visas) AND temporary workers (those with legal work visas only), it's full of doctors, engineers, etc. as cab drivers in TO.

  • @401RoadWarrior I know that this anecdotal, but most people that have moved into the Dallas area are people from other parts of the US seeking employment or corporate relocation/transfers. I have relatives and acquaintances that have migrated there to take advantage of the brisk economy that is the case in the Dallas area. Canada is odd in that it is a huge country, but most of its residents are crowded and packed into 5 or 6 large metro areas. What are the social costs to this policy?

  • @michael112254 About 750K LEGAL immigrants and temporary workers with LEGAL visas per year, mostly since 1993 when Liberals came to power, before that up to 100K new immigrants per year, TO absorbs half of all of them and the rest is split btwn Montreal (those from North Africa speaking french), Vancouver (90% chinese and sikhs), very few in Alberta and rest of CDA. Social costs: damn MULTICULTURALISM, best example here: very rare to see or hear of an ethnic person part of the Canadian Military.

  • @401RoadWarrior This is also true of the American military. You only see Black or White Americans serving in our armed forces. There is no real multiculturalism in our armed services. As part of my activities in the Boy Scouts activities, I had a chance to tour our local Air National Guard base where the aerial refueling tankers are based. I saw hundreds of service people and that is what I saw. The new wave of immigrants do not show a love for this country like they did 50 or 100 years ago.

  • @michael112254 That's the real face of multiculturalism, love for the country of origin instead of your adoptive one, plus many of nowadays immigrants (legal and illegal) come here simply for economical reasons, taking advantage of the high level of economical development in USA & CDA, when the traditional wave of immigrants, those in the 19th but especially 20th century, came to NA to escape political persecutions and embrace all freedoms and traditions these 2 great countries have to offer.

  • @michael112254 Cause multiculturalism, as a social ideology, encourages immigrants (legal AND illegal) 2 never ASSIMILATE into the local society, the adversary of multiculturalism is THE MELTING POT, lots of leftists hate your country simply because America IS a vary large and democratic melting pot, for them melting pot = racist ppl, mostly white christians, 'clinging to their guns and religion', we all know who said that in '08, they wanna see America officially embracing multiculturalism.

  • @401RoadWarrior The Nazis did the same thing. The leftist classify people in to different categories so that they can divide and conquer. As I have said before, the National Socialists (Nazis) are a left-wing party. The founders of the Nazi Party were leftists. They hated free markets and capitalism. Many American leftist admired the Hitler, Stalin and Mussolini because they were anti-capitalists and classified people into ethnic and religious groups. They encouraged animosity among people.
