Good job on the paint job, but if I did it, I would of used a flat red instead of glossy to make it look more professional.

@NICKSLIMETIMELIVE Not really and you can get one at Lowes for about 10 dollars but you will have to paint it if you want it to be red because it comes as silver.

What a coincidence. I got mine from Lows! But I painted it red to make it look more alarm like.

that would be more conveinent to have in a bathroom than a horn/strobe.

Whenever you put paint on a bell, it won't ring correctly because the paint muffles the vibration. Remove the paint and it will be louder. This is true even with large church bells.

bend the hammer away from the gong(bell) a little, the bell should be louder than the buzzer inside.

Funstuffaweek is right. It didnt work. it was like a quarter decible louder wich ( To me ) isn't much.
