Even though I sort of hate to use the word I have to. This is about the cutest thing I have ever heard. You'd have to be a real ogre not to like this. p.s. Is this a one off single or part of an album?
@dslider1 Unclear from the CD notes whether it was ever released as a single as Gerry Goffin didn't think they had the right voices for this song. Written by Carole King and Artie Kaplan.
Though this is a faster tempo than "Let Me Go the Right Way", released later in 1962,by the Supremes, something similar about them. Flo begins more reserved backing sounds at 2:08 on Supremes record. The Ronettes toss in a Squeal by :40, then add more later. Was it part of the Lead track, or a backing track? The idea works so well in this song. Imagine seeing the Squeals done in
this studio recording, duplicated in a live performance. Phil Spector must have cut this classic out. Still unique.
allways been a metalhead, but the ronetts have always blown me away, there star quality is timeless, so beautifull girls, .........'ronetts are on the radio, and we always sing along'...........hanoi rocks
This song really makes me smile! The squeals and growls make me think of the high-school hotties that the Ronettes were when they recorded this. :) A lot of fun!
gosh girls were so beautiful back then...so natural and simple...so happy.

@movingon4ever Written by Carole King and Artie Kaplan. I think this was pre-Spector, produced by Don Kirshner.

I love this song. Even though he gave them a lot damn Phil Spector to hell for ending their careers and Ronnie's solo career.

Ronnie doesn't "squeal", she grunts and growls and wraps you up until you shout with delight...that's the sound you hear! ;)

Wow! I understand what Phil Spector saw in them. Can you upload anything from the "Ronnie and the relatives" time?
