Combined, they cost much more than this little baby, but work better and faster. I don't care much about cell phones (don't even have one), but you sound for sure like you know what you're talking about. For the most part, it sounds like you knew what you were going to say beforehand. My only suggestion would be turn the auto-screen-saver-shutoff-thin­gy OFF. It was really annoying and distracting to constantly see the screen shut off while you were pointing at buttons and such.

My guess is that the mSD card issue has been fixed in later firmwares, because most of he reviews I've read said that it supports only 2 gigs.And the oe I'm getting comes with a 8GB micSD card (and no, i don't mean the n95 8GB version)

The smaller camera works, but not for video calls which needs to be handled by the carrier.

Not sure as I do not have the 8GB, but the latest firmware (and I use the NAM version now) has made a big difference.

Well, if that's the case then would it be safe to assume (since the 8GB flash cards are out) that getting this phone with a flash card is a better deal than the 8GB version?

I've seen a couple of reviews on the 8GB version and it doesnt have an expansion slot.

I heard that the battery life on the silver N95 is 5 hours for talk time. Do you know how's it compare with, say, my current old Nokia 6030?

correct - no expansion on the 8GB model and it's USB 1. With the other, you can use removable cards, but the screen is smaller ... Battery is OK, but you can't use everything at once which can kill it withing a few hours (particularly wifi and gps)

N78 is really nice as is the N82. N78 runs the newer OS, but has a less capable cam. Check my overview vid...

N95 8GB is much better ... wifi, 5MP cam, GPS, a faster CPU and a more recent OS. the N73 has a much better battery though ... not sure the largest card - may only be 2GB MiniSD

The N95 doesn't really have a memory card limit. I think it supports cards up to 8 GB.
