FYI - this IS the Jackson 5. There was an album in 2008 called "The Steeltown Sessions", it's still on Amazon MP3, and sounds just like this. So if it was a demo, they released it just as-is. But it IS the Jackson 5.
I think it's Jackie singing lead, not Michael though. Not sure.
Jackie was a little off,but this probably was a demo on Steel town records! Put Jackie got better with Motown (better teachers than Steel town on harmonies) harmonies! His harmonies on Never can say goodbye, Darling Dear and All I do is think of you are just some examples,(but all the J5 harmonies on Motown was solid) are just perfect!
It's a demo, it's totally them, I have the Early Years CD with this song on it and there are songs where Michael and Tito are yelling at each other. This song is amazing, what a talented group of boys.
I don't know. Doesn't sound anything close to the Jackson 5. That was a group of perfectionists like their dad Joe instilled in them and I know they would not have come off sounding like that. Whoever mentioned first that the Jackson 5 blended harmoniously were right.
Not the Jackson's, Michael never hit false notes like on this vid. they never sang in unison, this is not harmony. they knew how to sing harmony, because their Mom used to be a professional singer.
@j1008h Jermaine and mike sang lead on the old song here. This is befor jermaines voice broke. listen to my cherie amour cover with jermaine on lead high voice like this one but not michaels.
Not the Jacksons. Michael would have been about 7 years old by the time this song was released and all but one of his brothers were older. The kids in this clip can't hold a tune. Surely if the Jackson brothers were already working hard on the amateur circuit in the mid 60s and winning contests they could sing in key and do harmonies.
talk about 3 IDIOTIC comments...anyone with an ounce of sense would realize this is a VERY EARLY recording, not even close to a finished product. it clearly was of rehersal quality...i suppose any of you talented fish farts could do better ?
Too cute!

It's definitely not Michael singing lead, because at 1:56, he could have definitely carried that note if he was singing it.

Well these weren't meant to be singles; It's just the boys in the studio singing and being recorded. It's definitely them. Just not Michael leading
