Shit Kurt. I really wish I was born 30 years earlier. We could've hung out all around Olympia. We could have started a small band and call it Nirvana and release a bunch of EPs and some albums. Kind of glad that didn't turned out since I'd probably drop out and you would have never met Dave.... Which would mean no "good" Nirvana and possibly no Foo Fighters.

Every tribute I've watched so far has been AWESOME but this one seems more special because Krist and Dave created it. One thing that made Nirvana's songs great, was that Kurt was able to write songs that were mysterious, but in a good way. The mystery of the songs made it possible for the listener to connect the lyrics to his/her own life.
"Dumb" was a great song for me. I'm also not like the others at my school, but I can pretend to be like them and make friends. When the sun goes down on fridays, I like to shake my depression away with a joint, and then I'm happy for a while. And yes, that's dumb!

Great fucking song. One of the best "unknown" of Nirvana's classics. They played this live when I saw them in 93, I was floored. One of the best shows I ever saw still. Grohl's drums and Krist's bass just hammered you in the chest. Pat Smear did awesome job backing Kurt. At one point during the show, Kurt spit water on the crowd and it went all over my shoulder and hat- and some annoying girl stole my hat seconds later haha

I was fortunate enough to see atleast one of my heroes perform. i saw Kurt at the Live At Reading Festival, and brought my camcorders and got it all taped ilegally. i agree that kurt overshadows dave, because kurts voice (if nothing else) alone is an irreplaceable and unique instrument. You can replace drummers, guitar players, etc, but nobody sings like kurt. foo fighters wouldnt be as popular as it is without dave having been in nirvana (but he wouldnt have ended up working at wallmart), but at the same time nirvana would not have been as successful as it is without dave (in a different proportion, of course, because kurt had his cool voice)

Kurt and Jim Morrison man.... My two heroes. I was fortunate enough to see atleast one of my heroes perform. i saw Kurt at the Live At Reading Festival, and brought my camcorders and got it all taped ilegally. Unfortunately i can't make a video about or i'd be sued. But the footage is pretty good, and it lets me remember the good times.

when you look into the lyrics you can tell kurt had problems within his own mind. he was extreamely smart too, same with dave grohl. when kurt realized a shitty realization, he over thaught, and hid those thaught with drugs, and that catches up to you. dave grohl pretty much needs music every day to cope with kurt's death.

Grohl is far more talented that Kurt could ever be as he plays (very well) the drums, bass and guitar, at least. Kurt only could play a couple of four power chords and drums. i agree that kurt overshadows dave, because kurts voice (if nothing else) alone is an irreplaceable and unique instrument. You can replace drummers, guitar players, etc, but nobody sings like kurt. foo fighters wouldnt be as popular as it is without dave having been in nirvana (but he wouldnt have ended up working at wallmart), but at the same time nirvana would not have been as successful as it is without dave (in a different proportion, of course, because kurt had his cool voice)
