  • i did not think bouncing was good in strectching?

  • check out Change For Balance's channel

  • Terrible video. She bounces for one, and for two, her knee is past her toes within the first minute.

  • cant see shit with a bunch of words in the way

  • she doesn't need to be warm up she is already so HOT.....

  • hey, the most important thing to remember about stretching is to do a slight warm up beforehand. not anything taxing, just a 5-10 minute walk will do in most cases. and, especially if you have had an injury. the worst thing you could do to a tight back and hamstrings, a problem a lot of men have, is to try and stretch them cold. you're far more likely to hurt yourself again.

  • bounces in stretching? OMG...please save me! xD

  • Indeed! Bouncing is the worst you can do!!

Something differect now...I'm a football (soccer) player and I'm injured for like 8 weeks now. I have some troubles with my hips/groins, I'm supposed to get the results in 2 weeks. I need some really good exercises to stretch these parts, and i want to know if it is good to do exercises while i'm still injured (if so, wich ones?) I'm getting desperate.. Because I think I'll never be able to play football against, please help

  • A guide for the perplexed: search on and read Scientific Stretching by Thomas Kurz. There is a distinction between ballistic stretching and dynamic stretching. And there are a large number of distinct techniques that could classified as 'static'.

Advice like "never bounce" and "never extend your knee past your foot" in stretching or in Martial arts forms is at best a half truth.

  • Correction: the book is actually called "Stretching Scientifically"

  • Has anyone spoke yet about breathing?

  • She is hot!

  • @206ernesto thank you sir for the input! I didn't notice until you said so.

  • Although research has shown static stretching techniques to be as effective as and possibly safer than ballistic stretching, ballistic stretching is still a valuable means of increasing range of motion. she was showing you ballistic stretching.

  • you mean the bouncing she was doing was "ballistic"? i always wondered if bouncing or just staying still would be better.

  • Static stretching is when the muscle is put into a stretched position and held for 6 to 15 seconds (sometimes longer); this is then repeated two or three times. ballistic stretching involves elongating a muscle to its normal length and them bouncing gently against the end of the range 6 to 12 times, then repeating this action two to three times.

  • there are two types of stretching that increases your flexibility and they are ballistic stretching and static stretching.

  • Yes.. I do agree with 88davey....Never NEVER BOUNCE a stretch that was done I believe in the 80's but research has shown that is bad. Also you should hold a stretch for 20 seconds ; you did get right about the hips being squared and you must never have you knee past your feet or ankle that is bad too.

  • good but you said "touch your head to your leg" at 2:00 : s

  • you must never bounce your stretch...

your knee when past your feet...you went too far. you may want to re do this video?

  • Let the truth be told! :D

  • Very good video. Im the swedish champion in Stretching !!
