That's actually cool. You are hearing the audio system playing music and then automatically muting the music to allow the ATC transmissions to be heard. And the radio is very clear. Great system!

IS the prop feathered, or is that possible in a Cirrus, and if it is feathered why are the blades on the prop still moving? just wondering.

The prop is actually spinning at normal RPM... Video cameras work by taking 35 still pictures a second, so its just an illusion that the prop is moving slowly. Its the same reason that TV's flicker when they're seen on video camera.
