  • I remember this game. Wasn't there an option to design your own tables ?

  • My Dad and I used to play this for hours on the Electron, I remember the ball getting stuck on the bumper under the N & the score went through the roof. Classic.

  • I'm VERY VERY fussy when it comes to game playability an Shit. THIS is one of the games from way back when that i STILL give 5 stars. Nothing fancy about it....just good honest gameplay! yeah!

  • I'm a big fan of video pinball games too. My first was Video Pinball on the 2600. Still love it today.

  • On CoCo you could try RadioBall "RadioShack Pinball" on a color crt (for the artifact color effect)

Its old but waaaaaaayy better than the other coco pinball video you have done :-)

  • Have you tried Addiction Pinball by Team 17 on PC ?

It's the best pinball game i ever played.

  • Team 17, assholes for betraying the Amiga.

  • You can't blame them for leaving the Amiga scene. They stuck it out far longer than most other developers, and by the time they left, it was virtually dead. As a company, they have to make money, so have to develop for a platform where their product will sell more than a couple of thousand units.

Alien Breed 3D II sold all of 5000 copies. Compare that to sales in the millions for a successful game on a popular system.

  • Amiga was dying that period.

After all they had to made their living some way.

Don't forget that they gave Amiga some of the best games that i, and maybe you, still play today!

  • I haven't tried that one, but then I don't really follow PC gaming all that much. I'm playing a lot of Zen Pinball on the PS3, and it's probably the best pinball I've ever played. Right up there with Pinball Fantasies.

  • Graphically, it's not too bad, but like you said the ball physics is "limited" at best. The flashing when you pop the ball into the bonus slot on the left is enough to give you a seizure!

  • Yeah, that flashing is definitely hard on the eyes... but you know, it's even worse looking at the tv than this video. I had the aperture turned down an F-stop or so, to try and stop the colours washing out.

I couldn't help but laugh, when just as I was saying how the physics was limited, the ball just kept going up and down.

  • I like the sound effect(s) when the ball drops down the middle, its like the BBC's laughing!

Are model B's still easyish to come across?

  • Yeah, there are still plenty of them out there, and they're very reliable, having been designed to take a beating in school classrooms

  • I remember them from jr school. I might just track one down then, thanks.
