You have stacked your live rock too close to the edges of the tank. Once your tank matures, coraline deposits and scum will accumulate in those hard-to-reach areas. It will be a pain to clean down the road if you don't move it.
3:00 Hey marc those kind of look like Manjo anenomes (BAD) Its like aiptasia, only trickier to remove once its spread (or so my research tells me) If its redish brown with a green center as it looks to be, I'd kill it with some aiptasia killer before it spreads. just fyi I had one with my aiptasia, but I think I got them
@bolly12345 lol again I'm a novice so my mistake I thought it might have been either a manjo or zoanthid but zoanthids are super nice the cover the rock very quickly :) you say your pre just threw those in? That's lucky your pcs must have a pretty nice guy there Haha
you just cover the best aspects about setting up tanks and i can't wait for more fish to be added. and u also got me obssessed with ur african fish aswell which is amazing so thanks. i just had to subscribe!
hi bolly, nice update, i set up 15gal salt water yesterday i went to gaz in rhyl, i dont know anything my self but got some good advice from him, got 5.5k of rock and 60ltr of ro water from him, i will upload a vid asap
@bolly12345 EA i sayed i seen some guy on youtube who just set a up a nano tank, and he sayed ohh is it bolly lol, my question is with live sand and live rock but NO fish will there be ammonia present to cycle the tank, thanks m8
@djrichimc I found ammonia present - I think it was due to some of the live rock dying off slightly. Test the water everyday and monitor for any big changes. Once stable for a week you're on to a winner.
@walsallcrew I would love a full on coral tank but I would never sell my Africans to fund it because that's my true passion when it comes to fish keeping ;)
@samuelwaynefoleyjr sorry just another name our local fish shops use for red cleaner shrimp (Lysmata amboinensis) is that the one your on about? Red with White stripes?
nice I just threw in a yellow tail blue damsel, and a red kenya tree and candy cane coral, as well as a peppermint shrimp and two hermit crabs hahaha its really expensive
@TheAmericanEagle22 I got mine for $130 cdn. but I got the fluval nano shrimp habitat, which is the exact same as the flora, just with out a co2 unit.
so how much did this all cost? If you can say it in US dollars that would be great
