Very deep and original. Only track to be compared with is Devil's Water by Rennie Foster,,, He also lives in Japan, so there must be more of this, and if someone got something similiar, post it here...
@buffyrown "guys anyone else catch the subliminal message that flashes really quickly onto the screen at the end.. wondering what that says///" Robert Mitchum as The kind preacher
I had listened to this (favorite) Yokota song for years before coming across this pairing of it with C L's brilliant Night of the Hunter. Confirms my sense that the haunting phrase repeated over and again is "come to aging, children come, come to aging." BTW the original soundtrack of the film is of course even MORE brilliant with the images.
Such an amazing track. I just discovered this artist and what a find :)... What is it about Japan and music anyway? No other country makes music like them, I love it! And Nice vid btw! Thx...
@fisskr I don't think this song is very uniquely Japanese sounding. Lie to the listeners and switch the song's artist from Susumu Yokota to Boards of Canada and how many people would notice? There's any number of similar sounding songs nowadays.
@EuropeanAnimation Maybe not this song in particular in the sense how its implemented . I'm mostly talking about the atmosphere. Its quite unique for Japan. Listen to some anime- or gamesoundtracks and you will probably notice the unique feeling that is non existent in western-world made music. Thats just how it is. The whole world got their unique touch to music, no matter what genre it is. Though it might be more prominent in electronic music.
wow! really! i must cry. people! lets have a better world with loving everything and body you see and hear.
