  • wow! really! i must cry. people! lets have a better world with loving everything and body you see and hear.

  • susumu is the man no doubt. see my video response to one of his earlier minimal tracks. yum x

  • mad shit

  • I found this song, at like 4am, after a weird day. Suffice to say, it made for a good night.

  • there is no Japanese music, no black music, no this or that. just music!

  • #Based.

  • an amazing track, one of the finest made.

  • Kodomotachi=Children

  • from what album?

  • @KaunisRoheIine Sakura.

  • That's right.Zero dislikes.

  • @hristos76

You just had to jinx it...

  • I love this video reminds me of "MORE" by Mark Osborne

  • Breathtaking!!!!

  • nice tune when ur stoned

  • @alexiog40 makes you melt when you're baked...

  • so sweet. brilliant. perfect.

  • Words can't describe the beauty of this song... Anyone know what the voice in this song is saying though?

  • Very deep and original. Only track to be compared with is Devil's Water by Rennie Foster,,, He also lives in Japan, so there must be more of this, and if someone got something similiar, post it here...

  • like if lil b brought you here.

  • dreamy , nice one :)

  • does he have any similar songs to this? i have listened to his other songs on here, but they don't sound as good as this...

  • what film is it?

  • @MsBarbablu The film is a classic called Night of the Hunter. It's available on dvd from Criterion releases.

  • @Tincans25 thanks!!! :)

  • nice music.. :)

  • music like this gives the chills.

  • guys anyone else catch the subliminal message that flashes really quickly onto the screen at the end.. wondering what that says///

  • lil b spit on this, props to susumu yokota.

  • I had listened to this (favorite) Yokota song for years before coming across this pairing of it with C L's brilliant Night of the Hunter. Confirms my sense that the haunting phrase repeated over and again is "come to aging, children come, come to aging." BTW the original soundtrack of the film is of course even MORE brilliant with the images.

  • @JeanWalton it's from Joni Mitchell's "Songs to Aging Children Come from her album "Clouds".

  • Yep got the love the lo-fi feel with those lovely ghostly melodies the Hi-pass filter works perfectly on the drums.

  • What movie is that please?

  • @ireallydontgiveacrac The Night Of The Hunter. A recommendable classic. Plenty of clips on YT.

  • yokota is so good=)

  • Awesome song... I really like it when I first time heard it

  • This is awesome. I have watched this video a thousand times already.

  • .....*So Beautifully Strange*.....like a childhood Dream>>>

  • great video. thank you for this. haunting

  • Such an amazing track. I just discovered this artist and what a find :)... What is it about Japan and music anyway? No other country makes music like them, I love it! And Nice vid btw! Thx...

  • @fisskr I have realized much the same thing. They see music in a different light. Their interpretation of musicality is of their own

  • @fisskr I don't think this song is very uniquely Japanese sounding. Lie to the listeners and switch the song's artist from Susumu Yokota to Boards of Canada and how many people would notice? There's any number of similar sounding songs nowadays.

  • @EuropeanAnimation Maybe not this song in particular in the sense how its implemented . I'm mostly talking about the atmosphere. Its quite unique for Japan. Listen to some anime- or gamesoundtracks and you will probably notice the unique feeling that is non existent in western-world made music. Thats just how it is. The whole world got their unique touch to music, no matter what genre it is. Though it might be more prominent in electronic music.

  • a true masterpiece

  • that would be night of the hunter...

  • what is the flim?

  • Is it his footage?

  • impossibly good. nothing else he has done compares. and we all know it.

  • magic***
