If you don't want to get trapped by zombies, get your m1911 pack-a-punched and get phd flopper. Every time you're about to get trapped, switch to that gun and use it below you. It's failsafe.

the scavenger is better than the thundergun because:

-has more ammo

-will kill entire horde no matter how far away but the thundergun is better because:

-helps u wen ur cornered after gettin downed

-kills the zombies instantly

The Scavenger stops being a 1 hit kill at round 34, which basically means half the ammo. So effectively the Thundergun will kill more zombies than the Scavenger at round 34. Plus the long range thing is not all that useful seeing how there's a delay before the zombies are killed which gives them time to get close to you anyway.

Also as you said, it can help you when cornered, but if you use it properly you can prevent going down in the first place.

i got a strategy for four players, 3 people at top of the lighthouse 2 watchin the two windows and one watching the stairs the other is running circles in the lighthouse.

The one runnin circles has to be beast though. It WORKS !! Dont believe me try it with friends

My strategy:

1. Turn on power at level 7. Dont buy guns from the first room.

2. Get jug

3. Go the room with AK74u, but dont open the door next to it. Everyt ime you run out of ammo theres ammo right there.

4. At around round 12-14 go to random box and upgrade if you get a good weapon. I usually have around 10,000 points by round 12.

5. You can also buy PHD Flopper like I do so I receive no explosion damage.

I got to round 28 with this. Not that high but still something.

the scavenger/hyena strategy works with one round up until round 34, then it starts to take 2, and i believe around 47ish it takes 3. me and my bro made it to round 48 using this strategy for the beginnning rounds, you guys should get out my vid!!!!!!! :)

i do rape train outside bottom of the lighthouse and i use any gun preferably rpk to build up points you need juggernog and phd flopper u dont need anyother perks but alll help use all your ammo on the zombies and then flop them leave a crwaler at whatever round youre on go to the box if you get any gun be it a china lake or python get george in the lake in the starting area and waste it all on him then trade it keep going until you get the vr11 and scavenger or ray gun .keep going flopping !

And if u were actually good at zombies and u could survive long u would find out that even pack-a-punching the thundergun won't be a one shot kill on round 30. I've made it to 35 with 2 people on kino and I had to shot zombies twice to actually kill them in my rape train. My best solo is 30 just cause I got bored and wanted to get off so I killed myself. @hueghegyu The thunder gun is one shot kill on round 151, just search for it. You need to be close to the zombies, the scavenger upgraded on round 36 does not kill anymore with one shot, try it for yourself.

a great startegy is have one person at the bottom of the lighthouse run in a figure 8 pattern and have the other three up on the hill after u go down the slide have 2 watch the back and the other shoot the zombies that get piled up by the runner if the runner goes down shoot the scavenger near the runner and 1 person revive and then switch and the person that revives runs and the previous runner goes through the lighthouse and joins the other 2 on the hill and make a crawler for perks

hahaha since when does camping on ascension work to get you to a high level? im not sure what a high level is to you guys but camping on that map isnt the best strat in the least bit. everyone ive played with thats been above level 40 run separate loops.
