Horse racing is animal abuse.Nothing but a money hungry sport. These owners don't care about the well being of this beautiful animal,Just how much money they will make off it. And when they don't make it. They have them killed. The jockeys beat their young horses. And these horses are also drugged.A horse love to run it is there nature. i dont like horse racing no more so many horses died because of it fell over,broke a bone,or were put to sleep its to sad i can bare to wacth i have a racehorse like secretariat he died in his sleep the vet gave him a shot that will keep him from dieing in his sleep but it didn't it killed him i loved that horse i miss him so much i cant bare to keep him in my head it makes me cry

I have worked in a racehorse training facility, seen the horse get excited to race, they love to do it... however they do get pushed so hard to breaking point. I have also seen how these horses are treated if they throw a rider whilst training, once I was asked by my then boss to grab a horse who threw his rider so she could lunge him with a whip for punishment.. I refused and of course that was my final day there. Or when the horse refuses to go into the starting shoot.

@equinejumper13 Actually racing is the most natural sport you can do with a horse (: I don't say I agree with everything that happens in the racingbussines but it's more natural to let a horse race then any other sport you can do with them ;)

The problem with racing Thoroughbreds is that we've kept breeding a lighter and faster horse and kept pushing the age we've started racing them. Nature built them to survive, humans bred them to win. Their lower legs are made of up blood vessels and bones... barely any muscle.

I don't think horse racing is a bad sport, because theres risk involved with every sport no matter what it is... but remember the horses matter too...

i don't think racing is bad...i think they run the horses at way too young an age though,but at the same time a horse could break its leg just playing in the paddock (i've seen it happen on a couple occasions)

i dont think horse racing is a bad sport in fact i luv it i grew up around it my uncle breeds racers but i do think it's a little dangerouse i watched one of my uncles horses go down hard and i never forgot it but racing isn't bad all sports are dangerouse but ppl love doing them and watching them, me i luv horse racing even if my uncles horse's fall left a permanent mark & i luv'd that horse i just cant hear someone say its a bad sport

1st, nice vdeo =) the song fits very well too...2nd I don't think etirely that racing is a cruel sport..the problem lies in that while horses are at their fastest from ages 2-3, their bones are also not their strongest, hence frequent injuries of sorts, and also with the breeding, instead of breeding strong horses for long careers, they breed ones like big brown for short careers, therefore the structure of the horse has become weak over generations...

I agree with everything that this person says! The horse's bone structure doesn't fully mature untill 4-5 years old!!! Therefore, it is unsafe and unhealthy to race at such a young age!!!
